There's no such thing as "The End".
Only new beginnings.

Neena bound across the grassy field, Axel and Sunshine chasing her.
Delicious smells waft through the air as this empty field was filled with all kinds of pokemon.
Teresa gave Denith a plate, a perfectly grilled hotdog resting on it. "Here you go, enjoy."
Denith licked his chops, lifting the hotdog with a ribbon and biting it in half. "Oh God... Where'd you learn to grill, this is incredible."
Teresa giggled. "Your brother taught me all I know." Kamran took this chance to sneak in a kiss with his wife.
Denith took this chance to talk to Flare, who was sitting with Leaf and Crystal. Flare now had glasses that Denith made for him. They didn't make his sight better, but hindered it so he wouldn't constantly be seeing through walls. "Hey, what's the path looking like?"
Flare's ears perked upwards and he turned to Denith. "Ah, you mean the memory path? It's completely gone now. I'm not too sure what exactly happened to everything that's supposed to be there, but Solar says we should be fine."
"Is that good or bad?" Flare's now girlfriend, Leaf, asked. She now wore a brown bandana Flare had gifted her. "What if it's just somewhere else?"
"I'd hope not, no one should have to deal with that." Speed walked to them, his old goggles on his head.
"Ha! You just jinxed it!" Crystal pointed at Speed, who rolled his eyes.
Trace laid his metal arm across Denith's shoulders. "We'll deal with it. We always do."
Denith looked across the plains, his family scattered all around.

Lost in his thoughts, his daughter grabbed his attention by tugging on his scruff. "And you, Neena..."
The pure white Vulpix tilted her head. "Huh?"
Denith shrugged. "Just thinking to myself. Need something?"
Neena rubbed her front legs together in nervousness. "Uhm, Aunt Silvia was telling me about all the amazing things you could do... Can I do those someday?"
Denith rubbed his chin in thought. 'Can she?' "Probably. You'll know when you're older."
"Aww, I wanna know now!" Neena whined.
Denith pat his daughter on the head. "Relax... You will, and I'll always be there for you... ...Literally, I'm always forgetting how long I'm going to live."
Neena smiled at the pats, tails wagging. "I love you dad. And Daddy too."
Denith let his daughter cling to him, staring at the horizon. Trace sat beside him and spoke. "Hey dude, I should tell you now instead of later, I found out a few days ago that some humans went missing on the day of the 'incident'..."
Brian shoved Denith on the shoulder. "Which incident are we taking about?" He gained the smugest smile known to man. "I only remember the bathroom one—"
"Oh my GOD!" Denith blushed and covered Brian's mouth with a paw. "Why do you still remember that?!"
Brian laughed under Denith's paw. Denith (reluctantly) released him, as he was still laughing. "I'll never forget it... It's the best thing I got on you!"
Denith dramatically rolled his eyes. "Yeah, go back to your corner. The adults are talking." Brian ignored the diss and kept laughing as he walked off.
"What incident?" Neena, blissfully unaware, asked.
Denith didn't dare look her in the eyes. "Nothing you should be concerned about sweetie. W-Why don't you go back and play with your cousins?"
"Ehh, I'm tired." Neena shrugged.
Denith just shook his head and accepted it. Xi took this chance to walk over. "What are you guys talking about?"
Trace snapped back to reality. "Oh. Right. The missing humans. We've found reports dating back to over five years ago, back to around 'Collision Day' as people call it."
Xi sat next to Neena, squeezing her in-between her two dads. She loved the attention. Xi, still taller than Denith, looked over his husband to look at Trace. "Think we can find them?"
Trace's metal arm produced a hologram. Neena "Ooh"ed at it. "Well, maybe. It's a long shot though. There's too many factors. Some of them were shot out incredible distances– Time stream wise."
Denith nodded his head in understanding. "I get it. Time dilation. Even if we do find them, they'll already have been there so long it'd be pointless to bring them back... or outright impossible."
Trace sighed. "Not to mention the loss of time on our side. As selfish as it sounds, I don't want to travel between realities for an hour and come back ten years later."
Xi shook his head. "That's a valid fear. No one blames you for that."
Denith looked back out to the horizon. "Well, can only hope they're all doing... Okay..." He noticed about a dozen Rayquaza flying towards them. "Tara! Did you invite your entire family!?"
Tarakona was coiled up like a snake, and scoffed at his words. "Well yeah. They're my family after all!" She smiled as if she'd done nothing wrong.
Kamran sighed, wrapping and apron around his waist. "Well Teresa... We'll be cooking overtime."
Teresa was used to situations like this at this point. "Got it."
Denith stood up and walked to them. "Here, I gotcha."
Black flames were produced from Denith's paw. He pulled out a plastic bag full of hotdogs and various meats.
Kamran tilted his head. "Where does the meat come from?"
Denith looked at him dead in the eye. "It's not mine, if that's your concern."
Kamran decided it was best not to ask and just grabbed a clamp. "Let's get cooking!"
The entire family cheered at the thought of more food. "Let's keep this party going!" Crystal shouted, raising her paws to the Rayquaza filled skies.
Denith couldn't help but laugh at his families antics.
With his husband and child by his side, he could officially say...
His story was over.
He looked down at his daughter, and Neena looked back up with a wide smile, showing all her teeth.
His story is over, yes... But he'll still be around for the next one.
For Neena.

There you go. A short but sweet special looking back at all the friends we made along the way. Well, not all of them. But that list would be long as hell otherwise.
Thank you for reading my stupid little story, it really meant a lot to me.
