Meanwhile at a lab in the forest.

An Alakazam was taking notes on his desk before a Flygon had burst in, looking frazzled.

Flygon: "S-Sire! You- We-"

Alakazam: "Find your words, intern."

Flygon: "Subject 11 escaped!"

Alakazam: "Locate him immediately. What about 12?"

Flygon: "She's still here. We think she helped him escape."

Alakazam face-palmed, annoyed that this could even happen.

Alakazam: "Ugh, of course."

Flygon: "What should we do with 12, sir?

Alakazam: "Nothing yet, both Subjects are too important to be damaged."

Flygon: "We'll send a search team for subject 11."

Alakazam: "Good. And how's Subject 41?"

Flygon: "You mean the one on the Virus? So far, the subject is showing signs of massive aggression to anyone who walks by, but when no one is around, he's deathly calm. Almost serene."

Alakazam: "So we don't know if those signs are from him being locked up or from the virus."

Flygon: "No, sir."

Alakazam: "*Sigh* Go send a search team. And tell Jen to give her report already, it's been 2 weeks."

Flygon: "Yes, sire."

Walking down a forest path were Denith and Xi, both wearing dark cloaks made from Denith's blood. Xi was leading, mostly knowing the way back. He was staring at the sky as he walked, only now really taking in the view.

Denith was behind him, looking at his behind. Really taking in the view.

Denith: 'That's a fine piece of ass.

Xi's head whipped back to him, his eyes wide.

Xi: 'What?'

Denith: 'I... Never closed the channel.'

Denith rubbed his leg and flushed.

Denith: 'Forget I said... Thought, anything. Your ass is perfectly average.'

Xi blinked, eventually looking away. An awkward silence overtook the two.

Xi: 'Denith, are you sure you can save my sister?'

Denith: "Positive. I used to be a rescuer after all. Of course, I usually go into mystery dungeons, but I'm sure the lab will be the same."

Xi: 'The lab is crawling with guards, now that I look back, it's a miracle I escaped.'

Denith: "And a bigger miracle that you found me. Say, do you even remember where the lab is?"

Xi: 'Not really, I just ran in a direction after escaping.'
