Trace: "So let me get this straight. The leader of this Syndicate you've been after was your dad?"

Denith: "Mhm."

Brian glared and muttered to himself.

Brian: "I can see the family resemblance..."

Blaze elbowed Brian, despite agreeing. Denith very clearly heard what said either way.

Denith: "Do not, Compare me to my father. That man is a psychopath. He wouldn't hesitate to kill someone if he wanted to."

Brian: "Did you?"

Brian clamped his mouth shut, regretting his words. Everyone just stared in shock, including Denith, but for different reasons.

Denith: "...What?"

Trace: "We might have been told about your uh..."

Trace didn't say it, but Denith knew exactly what he was talking about. The silence was awkward. For most at least.

Tarakona: "About what?"

Denith: "It was an accident."

Rin: "How do you accidentally massacre 5 pokemon...?"

Aur: "You WHAT?!"

Denith: "I-I didn't know... I just woke up and...."

Lazuli: "Was it that alter ego you mentioned?"

Denith: "It was, but–"

Brian: "Oh, so it's not your fault 5 whole pokemon wound up dead?"

Denith: "...Well... no... I can see your point."

Brian: *sarcastically* "Really, can you?"

Denith: "Listen, even I blame myself for what happened, but I've already learned that sitting around and sulking about mom won't do anything."

Tarakona: "What?"

Denith: "I mean, sulking about... everything. If I caused this problem, I'm gonna fix it. Starting with the missing pokemon."

Aur: "We're not just going to skim over the fact 5 pokemon were straight up murdered because of you, are we?"

Denith: "Well, yeah."

Aur just glared at him.

Denith: "Aur, they would've got me if the system didn't do anything."

Silvia: "How? Aren't you supposed to be good at this stuff?"

Denith: "I didn't wanna hurt any of them..." *Sigh* "Look how well that turned out for me."

Denith finally noticed Xi, he was wearing a face of worry. Xi motioned towards Axel who had been hugging his mom's leg the whole time.

Denith: "Alright. The past isn't relevant right now."

Bolt: "Kinda is."

Denith soundly ignored the shiny Jolteon's comment.
