It was the same night on Alpha Island. The moon is shining, and the bodies of 5 murdered Pokemon lay decaying, overseen by two large crow-like Pokémon.

Corviknight: "5 Dead, barely any evidence, seems like a difficult case, but I think we could do it. What do you think, Rookie?"

Said rookie was currently emptying out his guts at the sight in front of him.

Corvisquire: "Oh..." *gag* "Hah... I don't think I have the stomach for this."

Corviknight: "Try to hold it in, we need these floors the same to collect as much evidence as possible."

Corvisquire: "Sorry, Dad."

Corviknight: "Call me sir when on duty."

Corvisquire looked back at the bodies before slowly nodding.

Corvisquire: "Yes sir."

Corviknight: "Good. Now let's get to work."

It's a new day at the beach house, the sun's out, and everyone is starting to wake up. Speaking of waking up, Xi had just woken up feeling a bit colder than they had felt when they went to sleep.

Xi opened his eyes and looked around, and Didn't see Denith in his usual cuddle spot.

Xi: 'Must've gotten up before me. Weird. He never does that.'

Xi had slept in the men's adult room, and everyone else there was sleeping. Xi heard a yawn as Bolt began to wake up.

Xi: "Good morning Mr. Bolt."

Bolt: "Just Bolt please."

Xi: "So what are we doing today again?"

Bolt: "Relaxing. Feel free to go sightseeing with the kids though."

Xi: "I'll keep it in mind."

Xi left the room and Entered the living room through the hall, sitting on the couch was Denith staring obliviously into empty space.

Xi: "Denith?"

Denith jumped a bit before looking behind him to see Xi.

Denith: "Oh. Xi. You startled me..."

Xi: "Are you alright? Is this about whatever happened yesterday?"

Denith: "Yesterday..."

Denith looked at his paws before quickly looking back at Xi. Denith wondered if he could see the stains on his paws.

Denith: "Yesterday! Yesterday was very much so yesterday! Y'know?"

Xi frowned at the obvious and loud deflection of his question.

Xi: "Uh... Yes?"

Speed entered the room, rubbing the sleep from his eyes.

Denith: "Oh look! A new conversant! Hey Speed, good morning!"
