Deep in the Greenland Continent, the battle between the rescuers, explorers, and the Deomorphs (Deoxys Berserkers) continues. Or it did until the Deomorphs stopped moving.

Lucario: "Huh, that's odd."

He tapped a Deomorph and it fell over.

Flygon: "Did they just... Turn off?"

Lucario: "That's good, right?"

Suddenly everything became darker as the skies blackened.

Flygon: "That's not."

*CRRK*

Tarakona was awoken by Xi.

Tarakona: "Xi? What's with the ice enclosure?"

The police, victims, and Inverted were all protected from the initial blast with an ice barrier from Xi, saving them from a very quick death.

Others started to wake.

Corviknight: "Ugh, my head..."

Letite: "Ice?"

Pikachu Victim: "Damn, it's freezing."

Aur: "We have to keep moving."

Aur surrounded the ice enclosure with fire, melting the ice, and getting water on some Pokémon.

Corvisquire: "Dude."

Tarakona: "Forget the water, what's with the sky?!"

The cracks in the black sky have only gotten worse, and the beam causing the cracks has only gotten bigger.

Everyone felt a literal wave of despair wash over them. Pokémon fell to the floor left and right.

Tarakona: "What's going on...? Why do I suddenly want to quit...?"

Tarakona stopped flying altogether and lay on the floor.

Tarakona: "Crap..."

The beam was rapidly getting bigger, and the cracks in the sky only intensified. Until it didn't.

Suddenly the beam was gone. The sky remained, but the cause was gone.

Aur: "Is it... over...?"

They should be overjoyed to have survived, but instead, they just felt an overwhelming pressure on their chests. From the crater of where the orb once was, a creature of black and red flame crawled its way to the surface. Its form constantly wavered, changing from shape to shape at any given moment.

...ᴅᴀᴍᴀɢᴇ ᴛᴏ ꜱᴘᴀᴄᴇ ᴛɪᴍᴇ ᴄᴏɴᴛɪɴᴜᴜᴍ ᴄʀɪᴛɪᴄᴀʟ, ʀᴇᴠᴇʀꜱɪɴɢ.

The creature's maw split open, revealing sharp red teeth, and a red ball of pure energy shot from its mouth into the sky. The cracks in the sky stopped glowing white and turned a blood red. Then the sky started to repair itself, closing the cracks, and turning its normal shade of blue.
