Flare woke in the usual empty space of his move whenever he spoke to Fluffy and Solar.

Flare: 'Fluffy? Solar?'

Solar the Leafeon was right behind him.

Solar: 'Flare.'

Flare: 'There you are, usually you're right in front of me, that's weird."

Solar: 'Our connection is unstable. Fluffy isn't responding.'

Fluffy was standing there, eyes blacked out, it was rather unsettling for Flare to see his friend like this.

Flare: 'What happened?'

Solar: 'The memory path is dormant. I'm not sure what exactly happened when the two paradoxes absorbed and released all that energy, but category 1 to 2 berserks all over the world... Probably look like Fluffy right now.'

Flare: 'Why is it dormant?'

Solar: 'It appears to be missing something integral. I'm not exactly sure what, but if we want it back up, we'd have to find it. Then there's the question...'

Flare: 'Hm?'

Solar: '...Do we want it back?'

Flare: '... I...'

Solar: 'Would we not just be better off leaving it dormant, ending this horrible cycle?'

Flare: 'It won't be... Permanent.'

Solar: 'Who knows what could wake it. And Flare?'

Flare could feel himself waking up again.

Solar: 'Watch that Eevee closely, something tells me...'

Everything went white.

Solar: 'He's more important than he thinks.'

Crystal gently shook Flare awake from the cabin couch.

Crystal: "Flare, we're back."

Flare: "Sis? How long..."

Crystal: "Few hours, Denith really knocked you out cold."

Flare grabbed his stuff and went out to see they really were back at port.

Denith: "Hey, sorry for uh, knocking you out. Did you find anything?"

Flare: "Solar says the Memory Path is dormant. It's missing something."

Denith: "I'm guessing you have no clue what that is?"

Flare: "No... Sorry..."

Denith: "It's alright."

Flare and Denith joined the rest of the group inside the port, only to notice how barren the place was. The usual bustling crowd was now just a few pokemon here and there.
