Elijah and Brooke had driven out to the old witch house outside of Mystic Falls, where Bonnie was currently hiding out with Jeremy. Stefan and Alaric were going to meet them there, and after a few minutes of waiting they finally did, so the four of them met outside the house.
"The sacrifice is completed in stages as the full moon sets." explained Elijah "First the werewolf is killed, then the vampire. Finally the doppelganger. Once Elena dies, the curse will be broken. Klaus will become hybrid"
Alaric nodded, "So when do we attack?"
Elijah glanced at him. "Elena's death will activate his dormant werewolf side. He'll be vulnerable during the transformation. That's when Bonnie comes in"
"What about us?" asked Stefan, gesturing between himself and Brooke "What do we do?"
"You two will need to help. Klaus will undoubtedly have a witch to be taken care of, and if he tries to make a run for it you will need to stop him" he explained "Bonnie will weaken Klaus, and I will take care of him"
Brooke folded her arms "And you're sure Bonnie will survive this?"
After what happened last time, she was very apprehensive about this. Elijah wasn't Damon, but she had every right to be nervous.
However, Elijah understood her worries, and smiled reassuringly at her. "If she can deliver him to the brink of death, I'll finish the job myself"
Brooke nodded gratefully, and then Stefan's phone rang so he answered it.
"Damon"
A loud sigh came through the phone. "You're not going to like what I'm about to say"
He shook his head. "Cut to the chase. Is the sacrifice happening or not?"
"It's happening." said Damon "I tried to stop it, but it got... Complicated"
Stefan didn't look surprised. "We're sticking with the original plan. We're meeting Bonnie right now"
"He's got Jenna, Stefan"
Stefan, Brooke, and Elijah all heard him, and the former two of them looked at each other in worry.
"What?"
"He got Katherine to lure her out of the house" explained Damon
Stefan sighed, and glanced at Alaric, who frowned, being the only one who couldn't hear the other end. "What is it? What's wrong?"
Damon continued, "He's going to use her as the vampire in the ritual"
Brooke gasped, covering her mouth with her hand "Oh, my god"
Stefan hung up the phone and nervously ran a hand through his hair.
Meanwhile, Alaric was still confused. "Okay, can someone please tell me what is going on?"
