Tae and Dae, the little munchkin, were getting ready to go to the hospital.
Tae made her way to the car, Dae in her arm and Dae in the passenger seat with the baby seat attached.
Dae: "Mawma"
The little munchkin chirped with a smile brimming with sunshine showing his front teeth.
Tae: "Yes, my baby."
Tae said while pecking his forehead. Though his temperature is so high, he still gives the sunshine vibe.
She got into the driver's seat and drove to the hospital.
Soon, they reached the hospital and entered the waiting room, as the receptionist said.
After a few minutes of chit-chatting between the god-mother mama and son duo (Dae and Tae).
Receptionist: "Sorry for the inconvenience, mam. The Doctor was on leave due to some emergency at the last minute. And we have a replacement for her with a new doctor who joined recently. And we can assure you that he is the best doctor, and you can feel reassured."
She said with a polite smile.
Tae: "It's okay if we have a well-professional doctor."
Tae said with a soft smile.
The receptionist left, telling them to wait for a few more minutes.
Receptionist: "Mam, you can go to the cabin"
She led the way to Tae and Dae.
Tae and the little munchkin went inside and sat on the chairs before the table because there was no doctor yet.
Dae: "Mawma, can we gow icsh-chem"
The boy asked, showing his pout, knowing it would affect Tae, and in the end, he gets what he want.
Tae: "Yes, my baby will get whatever he wants, but We have to sho the fever away, right?"
Tae said slowly to make it clear and understandable for Dae.
Dae nodded like a good boy he was.
Tae: "Then we will eat strawberry ice cream together after a few days."
She was ruffling his hair, making him giggle and lean on her.
They were disturbed by Tae's phone call.
She looked at the caller ID only to sigh.
DAD
Tae: "Baby, I will be back in a minute, just outside the room. Don't make any noise, and you have to stay calm. Then we will watch Shark do Dodo together."
Tae said.
She doesn't want to discuss anything unrelated with a 2-and-a-half-year-old kid.
As much as she doesn't want to leave him.
Dae nodded his head.
Tae's POV:
I went outside of the cabin and answered the call.
Tae: "Hello Dad"
Dad: "Tae, you must go on the blind date."
Tae: "No, I am sorry, Dad. We just discussed it a few hours back, and you are forcing me again."
Dad: "Look, Tae, it will bring so much profit for our company, baby."
Tae: "I'm- I will call you later, Dad. I'm busy."
I sighed, pressing the pad of my hand on my eyes.
Tae: "It is not time to cry like an idiot. Dad will understand someday."
I spoke to myself and nodded at my statement, which I had been telling myself for the past four years like a
fool
I
am
in
everything.
I smiled at the phone screen, not to present my devastated self in front of my little munchkin.
I made my way towards the door but froze after entering the cabin.
