Next day:
Tae decided to speak to her father face to face.
She walked in.
Her face was calm.
But inside, she is a war.
Mr. Kim looked up from his laptop. He didn’t seem surprised. Like he’d been waiting cause he had been preparing himself since Kook visited him.
Tae: "Dad. You knew I would come."
Mr. Kim: "I expected you. Jungkook told me he would speak to you."
Tae: "You’re not even sorry, are you?"
She spoke with a dry chuckle.
Mr. Kim: "Tae, you have to understand--"
Tae: "No. I don’t have to understand anything. You ruined us."
Mr Kim: "I did what I had to do to protect your name. Your future."
Tae: "My future? Or your reputation?"
She stepped closer, voice rising.
Tae: "You blackmailed him. You used your power to scare him off. And now you want to talk like it’s business? Is my life a business?"
Mr. Kim: "He was never supposed to be a permanent part of your life, Taehyung. It was a phase. He didn’t come from the same world."
Tae: "So what?!"
She was shaking now, eyes wide with fury.
Mr. Kim: "This family has built an empire. You were raised with responsibility, legacy, expectations--"
Tae:
"And not love? No choice? Not a damn say in who I get to love?!"
Mr. Kim: "He didn’t match us. You deserve someone on your level."
Tae: "I didn’t know love had a price tag."
She turned her back for a second, breathing hard, her head pounding, and then suddenly, CRASH.
She grabbed the vase near her and hurled it against the wall.
The sound echoed across the room.

[I don't know why, but if I'm angry I would really love to break something. But if I do my mom will break me. 😅]

Mr. Kim didn’t even flinch.
But Tae... she was falling apart.
Tae: "You looked into his eyes and still did that to him?"
Tae: "You saw how much he loved me. You knew. And you still destroyed it. Like it was nothing."
Her voice was cracking, but she didn’t stop.
Tae: "You watched me break. For years. You let me cry in front of you. You let me think it was my fault. When the one who needs to be blamed is you and the dumb brain of his."
Tae: "And you said nothing. You let your own daughter hate herself!"
Mr. Kim: "I didn’t want you to hate me."
Tae: "Well, congratulations, Appa. Because I don’t even know what I feel for you anymore."
Her voice dropped to a whisper.
But it cut deeper than anything.
Tae: "I feel like I’ve been living in a lie."
She took a shaky breath.
Tae: "Love doesn’t ask for profit. Love doesn’t need status."
Tae: "And maybe if you ever loved Mom enough... you’d know that."
Once the words came out, she re-thinked them; maybe she went overboard. Maybe she shouldn't bring her mom into the picture.
Silence.
Heavy.
Like the room itself was mourning.
Mr. Kim lowered his gaze. But Tae had no more words left. She turned to leave. And just before walking out,
Tae: "I'm done letting you all decide what's good for me."
Then she walked out, the door slamming behind her.
And Mr. Kim sat there, alone, staring at the shattered vase, and wondering when his daughter had grown strong enough to break without falling apart.
After speaking to him, she booked a cab and said the location of Jimin's unknowingly.
And when she looked up… she was outside Yoongi and Jimin’s apartment.
She rang the doorbell once. The door opened in seconds.
Jimin’s smile fell the moment she saw Tae’s eyes.
Jimin: "Bear?"
Tae didn’t say a word.
She just stepped in. Walked past Jimin. Sat on the couch and buried her face in her hands.
And Jimin knew.
She just knew.
She sat beside her.
Quiet.
Waiting.
And after a few minutes, Tae finally spoke.
Tae: "I thought coming here would make me feel better."
Jimin: "It’s okay to not feel better yet."
Tae: "Did you know?"
Jimin froze.
Tae: "About my dad. About Jungkook. About everything."
Silence.
Tae looked at her, voice low.
Tae: "Please don’t lie to me."
Jimin: "I found out a few days ago. On our honeymoon."
Tae’s body went still. She pulled away a little.
Tae: "So you knew... and didn’t tell me?"
Jimin: "It wasn’t mine to tell, Tae."
Tae: "You’re my best friend."
She felt betrayed again, maybe just the whirlwind of emotions, making her think like that cause her best friend would never do such a thing.
Jimin: "And he’s your soulmate."
She reached for Tae’s hand.
Jimin: "And it was between you, him, and your father. I didn’t want to speak before he did. I didn’t want to speak before you were ready."
Tae's eyes were glassy again. But Jimin wasn’t crying. She was holding Tae like a pillar.
Jimin: "I wanted to scream at him when I found out.
I wanted to tell you right away.
But I knew if I stepped in then… it would feel like everyone was deciding your story for you again."
Tae didn’t say anything. She was just breathing.
Tae: "I feel like I’ve been betrayed by everyone I love."
Jimin: "I know. And I’m sorry. For not saying anything. For watching you break, and not being the one to catch you."
Jimin’s voice cracked now.
Jimin: "But I’m here. I’ve always been here. And I’ll stay here until you remember that you still have people who’d choose you. Always."
Tae slowly leaned into Jimin, and Jimin pulled her in.
They didn’t say anything for a while.
But this time, the silence didn’t feel heavy.
It felt like safety.
Tell me how it was...
Stay tuned😁😁
