Kook POV:
As soon as they left, Kook excused himself and left for the hospital cafeteria, and he was glad they had a lunch break for an hour.
After seeing little Dae, his mind wouldn't stop spinning. Dae had called her "mama" last time, and for a moment, he thought Dae was talking about Tae.
His heart skipped a beat back then, and it's still beating fast now.
The way Dae smiled at Kook,
the way he reached out for him...
it made him feel something deep inside, something Kook couldn't quite understand. What if... what if he was their son? The only thought in his mind, and he can't shake it.
Tae and Kook aren't even together, and here he is, thinking about something so far-fetched. Something he couldn't get and didn't want to get to.
But still, the thought lingers.
What if they had a future together, with a child-like Dae?
Kook knew how much Tae loved kids. She always had a soft spot for them.
And there are times when they even spoke about how many kids they are going to have in the future before their break-up.
It's a crazy thought, but it felt so wrong for him all of a sudden.
Although it seemed wrong for him, he can't help but wonder what it would be like to come home to Tae and their little every day,
to be a family,
to cuddle with them.
to sleep with them,
to laugh with them,
to enjoy with them,
to support them,
to tease each other,
and many more.As he completed his food with these thoughts went back to his cabin and rested his head on the desk for a quick nap.

Dream:
PAST:
High School -
It's a warm spring afternoon, and the rooftop of their high school is bathed in golden sunlight.
Taekook, both in their school uniforms, have a little tradition-they sneak up to the rooftop during lunch breaks to enjoy some time alone together.
The space is their little sanctuary, far away from the busy corridors and prying eyes of their classmates.
Tae carefully unwraps the lunch box she prepared early that morning, especially for her Kook.
The box is packed with neatly arranged kimbap, colourful side dishes, and sweet strawberries for dessert.
She glances over at Kook, who is leaning against the railing, his face lifted towards the sun, eyes closed, enjoying the warmth.
His usually serious expression is softened by a contented smile, and Tae can't help but feel her heart swell with affection.
Tae: "Kook,"
She calls softly.Tae: "If you don't come here right now, I might just eat all this food by myself."
She says pointing towards the arranged boxes.Kook opens one eye, a smirk playing on his lips.
Kook: "You wouldn't dare, baby"
He teases, but he immediately pushes off the railing and walks over to her, his steps light and eager.Tae giggles as he sits down beside her, cross-legged on the ground. She hands him a pair of chopsticks, but not before picking up a piece of kimbap and holding it out to him.
Tae: "Here, say ahhh,"
Kook rolls his eyes playfully but leans in to take the bite.
Kook: "Ahhhh,"
He says, exaggerating the sound just to make her laugh. As he chews, his eyes widen in appreciation.
Kook: "This is amazing, Tae. I can guess who cooked today. And how can you make them so delicious."
Tae blushes, pleased by his compliment.
Tae: "It's because I woke up early to make these today, and put in a special ingredient," she says, her tone mock-serious.
Kook raises an eyebrow.
Kook: "Oh? And what's that?"
Tae: "Love!"
Tae exclaims, her face breaking into a wide grin.Kook chuckles, reaching over to tuck a strand of hair behind her ear. Making Tae blush, but it got covered due to the sun rays falling on her already reddened skin.
Kook: "Then I guess I'm really lucky, huh? Getting to eat food made with so much love."
Tae just shakes her head with a smile. They eat together, Tae feeding Kook little bites of everything while he makes sure she doesn't forget to eat herself.
Between bites, they chat about their classes, Kook's latest basketball game, and Tae's plans for the weekend.
When they finish eating, Tae pulls out the strawberries she brought for dessert. She picks up one and holds it to Kook's lips, her eyes twinkling.
Tae: "You get the first one since you worked so hard in practice yesterday."
Kook takes the strawberry and, in a sudden playful move, grabs her hand and pulls her close, planting a quick, sweet kiss on her forehead before she can react.
Kook: "That's my way of saying thank you,"
He murmurs, a satisfied grin on his face.Tae's cheeks flush bright red, but she can't stop the smile that spreads across her face. She playfully swats his arm, trying to act indignant.
Tae: "You're so cheesy, Kookie!"
Kook: "Only for you,"
He replies, laughing as he leans in to steal another kiss on her cheek. She forwards the first strawberry placed in front of her lips and taps on her lips, indicating for her to open her mouth, and Tae gladly eats her favourite dessert. They don't feel shy pecking at each other because they have been like that since childhood.
They spend the rest of their lunch break lying side by side, looking up at the sky, hands intertwined.
The world below seems far away, and for those precious moments, it's just the two of them, wrapped in the warmth of the sun and the comfort of each other's company.
As the bell rings, signalling the end of lunch, they reluctantly get up.
Kook helps Tae gather their things, and as they head back downstairs, he casually throws an arm around her shoulders, pulling her close.
Kook: "Let's come up here again tomorrow,"
He says, his voice full of quiet contentment. Though they come there every day Kook has a habit of repeating the same sentence every day.Tae looks up at him, her heart full.
Tae: "Of course,"
She agrees, leaning into his side as they make their way back to class.Tae: "I wouldn't want to spend my lunch break with anyone else."
Even though years have passed, they never miss these lines every day.
And with that, they descend the stairs, their laughter echoing through the halls, leaving behind the rooftop that holds so many of their shared moments, a silent witness to their young, blossoming love.
Tell me how it was...
Stay tuned😁😁.
