As soon as Tae reached her home, she got a call from Jimin asking her:

Jimin:
How was your date? And are there any chances?

Tae:
Minne, I met him again...

Leaving about the date, Tae started about her meeting with Kook, while Jimin listened to her patiently and cussed at Kook for acting like an idiot.

Before ending the call

Jimin
Bear, get some rest as we have an important meeting tomorrow.

Tae:
Okay, Minnie.

Jimin:
I also have some news to share with you.

Tae:
What's that?

Jimin:
I think it's not the right time to speak, bear, go to sleep.

Tae:
You better say it tomorrow, bish.

Jimin:
Sure.

Tae:
Okay, Bye.

Jimin:
Bye.

As the call ended, Tae lay down on the bed. Her eyes became sloppy. She drifted into sleep.

Her visions go back to when she cared for Kook and how he used to look at her.

PAST:

University Days:

Taekook is now in university, attending the same prestigious school but studying different subjects.

Tae is majoring in business, preparing to take over her family's company one day, while Kook is deep into his pre-med studies, often buried under piles of textbooks and notes.

Despite their busy schedules, they always find time to be together.

Their bond only grows stronger with time.

Tae walks briskly across the campus, her arms laden with a giant care package she put together the night before.

She knows Kook has been pulling all-nighters for his exams, and how little he's been eating worries her.

She finally reaches the medical building and goes to the familiar study room where Kook often spends his days and nights.

As she approaches the room, she spots him through the glass door.

He's hunched over his desk, a highlighter in one hand and a pen in the other, his brow furrowed in concentration.

Tae's heart squeezes at the sight.

She knows how hard he's working, how much he wants to succeed and show his late father that he made his dream come true, but she can't stand the thought of him neglecting his health.

She quietly opens the door, stepping inside without disturbing him.

Carefully, she sets the care package on the desk beside him, pulling out the homemade food containers she packed: his favourite kimchi stew, neatly cut fruits, and a few energy-boosting snacks.

Kook doesn't notice her at first, so engrossed in his studies that he's oblivious to the world around him.

Tae places a gentle hand on his shoulder, and Kook jumps slightly, his eyes snapping to meet hers.

The tension in his face melts away when he sees her, replaced by a soft, tired smile.

Kook: "Baby," he murmurs, his voice tinged with exhaustion.

Kook: "What are you doing here?"
He scoots for Tae to sit beside him.

Tae smiles back, but there's a hint of concern in her eyes.

Tae: "I'm here to make sure you're taking care of yourself,"
She replies, her tone gentle but firm as she sits beside him.

Tae: "Have you eaten anything today?"

Kook opens his mouth to respond, but Tae already knows the answer. She sighs and shakes her head, pulling a spoon from her bag.

Tae: "That's what I thought. Here, eat this,"
She insists, handing him the bowl of kimchi stew.

Tae: "You must keep your strength up, bunny Koo."

Kook looks at the food, then back at her, his expression softening even more.

He knows she's right, but more than that, he's touched by the effort she always puts into looking after him.

Kook: "You didn't have to do all this, naughty bear."
He says quietly but accepts the food gratefully, taking a bite and savouring the familiar taste.

Tae watches him eat, a satisfied smile on her face.

Tae: "Of course I did. Someone has to make sure you don't forget to eat,"
She teases lightly, but there's a deep affection in her words.

After a few bites, Kook gestures for her to sit beside him. Tae stood up and arranged the boxes for him.

Kook: "You must be tired, too. Sit down, let's take a break together."

Tae obliges, sitting beside him and leaning her head on his shoulder.

Tae: "I'm not the one who's been studying nonstop, my dear bunny hun."
She points out but doesn't mind the quiet moment they're sharing.

It's these small, intimate moments that she cherishes the most.

As Kook finishes eating, he wraps an arm around her, pulling her closer.

Kook: "Thank you, buttercup," he whispers, kissing her head.

Kook: "For always taking care of me."

Tae tilts her head to look at him, her eyes shining with love.

Tae: "And thank you for working so hard," she replies softly.

Tae: "I know you'll be an amazing doctor one day."
She says, pecking at his forehead, letting him know how much she trusts him.

Kook chuckles, the sound low and comforting.

Kook: "Not without you by my side."
As he says, the word Tae wished them to be accurate, the love, the real love, which is more than this, should become true.

To say she doesn't want them to be friends anymore.

They sit there for a while, just enjoying each other's presence, the weight of their responsibilities temporarily lifted.

Eventually, Tae helps Kook organise his notes, making sure he's ready for his next study session, but not before making him promise to take another break soon.

As they part ways, Kook watches her leave, his heart full of love and gratitude. He knows how lucky he is to have someone like Tae in his life, someone who cares so deeply for him.

And as Tae walks back to her classes, she feels the same.

No matter how busy they get, they always make time for each other and find ways to show their love.

And that, more than anything, is what keeps them going.

And something is cooking in Kook's mind.

Tell me how it was...

The next chapter is going to be completely Kook's Point Of View.

No Hate Towards Koo.
