2 Days Later:

Jungkook was rarely home. And even when he was, he made sure to keep his distance from Tae, staying out of her sight as much as possible, as much as he could.

Meanwhile, Mia had become close to everyone. Vmin liked her as well, and she affectionately called them Unnie.

The Haldi and Mehendi ceremonies had taken place over the last two days.

Tae tried her best to focus on enjoying her soulmate's wedding. But deep down, she knew Jungkook was keeping his distance after their last argument.

Each of them pretended the other didn't exist.

And now, it was time for the Sangeet.

The evening had already set in, and everyone was dressed to perfection, looking stunning.

The place buzzed with excitement. Relatives had gathered, some waiting eagerly for performances, while others prepared for their own.

All the younger guests sat in the front row, waiting for Namjoon to come down the stairs, praying he wouldn't trip while speaking into the mic.

The energy was high, spirits even higher. The night promised laughter, dancing, and memories to last a lifetime.

Namjoon: "Alright, everyone! It's time for the couple's dance tradition! You all know the rules, everyone gets randomly paired, no backing out! And if the music changes, you switch partners!"

The crowd erupted in cheers, eyes sparking with excitement and mischief.

Jimin: "Bear, come here."

Before Tae could protest, Jimin grabbed her wrist, dragging her to the centre of the dance floor.

Tae: "What are you doing, Minnie?"
She said with a frown.

Jimin: "It's a couple's dance, babe."
Jimin rolled her eyes.

Jimin: "Everyone has to join, and guess what? You're dancing. Is that even a question? Of course, you are dancing."
She waved off Tae's complaints effortlessly.

Tae: "I—what?!"
She stared at Jimin in disbelief, making her chuckle.

Tae: "Kitty Hyung, just me waiting for you,"
She called out, looking toward Suga, who was deep in conversation with an elderly aunt.

Jimin: "Ah, he can wait."
She spun Tae around, making her giggle as they danced.

Three pairs of eyes watched them, admiration shining in their gazes.

What Tae didn't know was that Jungkook had arrived late. He had tried everything to skip the Sangeet, but the others had other plans. They scolded him and called relentlessly until he finally gave in.

Now, standing in the crowd, he watched her.

Watched as she laughed, twirling under Jimin's hands, her smile radiant.

He knew, if only he hadn't come, she would've been able to enjoy the night fully.

He felt like he had ruined it.

Because he knew exactly how much Vmin had planned for each other's weddings—how excited they had always been.

For a moment, he wished he had told his mother not to come to this city at all.

But another part of him, an inch of his heart, was selfishly happy.

Because at least this way, he could admire her from afar.
