Kook: "Didn't you hear her? She hates me."
Jungkook let out a humourless chuckle.

Bogum: "No, she doesn't."
Bogum stepped forward, crossing his arms.

Jungkook scoffed, rubbing his face harshly.

Kook: "She said she still loved me, and then she walked away. Do you know how that feels?"
His voice cracked, and he hated how vulnerable he sounded.

Jimin exchanged a look with Yoongi before stepping closer.

Jimin: "And do you know how it feels to be left?"

Jungkook flinched. Silence hung between them, thick and heavy.

Jimin: "She waited for you, Jungkook.
She waited even when you accused her of things she never did.
Even when you left her without a word.
Even when she had every reason to move on.
But she didn't.
And now?
Now she's exhausted."

Jungkook swallowed the lump in his throat, guilt twisting in his stomach like a knife.

He knew.

He knew all of this, yet he had still walked away from her back then. He had no other choice but to walk away from her.

And now... now he didn't know if he could fix it.

And some part of him doesn't want to fix it too.

Kook: "She lost the promise ring,"
He whispered, almost to himself.

Kook: "She was panicking. And when I gave it back to her, she..."
His breath hitched.

Kook: "She looked at me like she didn't know whether to cry or to throw it away."

Jimin: "Then don't let her throw it away, Jungkook. Do something before it's too late."
Jimin sighed, placing a hand on his shoulder.

Jungkook bit his lip, nodding slightly.

The three of them exchanged a glance but said nothing as Jungkook walked away.

Kook: "I need to call my mom,"
He murmured suddenly, pulling out his phone once he was in his room.

The call rang twice before his mother's voice filled his ears.

Mom: "My Bunny Baby. Did you eat?"

At that moment, everything he had been holding back finally broke. His lips trembled, his vision blurred, and before he could stop it, a choked sob escaped his throat.

Kook: "Ma..."
His voice was broken, shattered.

Mom: "Bunny, baby, what's wrong?"
His mother's voice immediately softened.

Jungkook pressed a hand over his mouth, trying to stifle the cries that threatened to spill out.

Kook: "I messed up, ma."
He admitted, his voice barely above a whisper.

His mother stayed quiet for a second, before speaking gently.

Mom: "Is this about Taehyung?"

Kook: "She hates me. And I-- I don't blame her."

His breath was uneven, his fingers clutching the phone so tightly his knuckles turned white.

Kook: "I hurt her so much, Ma. I left her when she needed me. I accused her of things she never did. I didn't even listen to her.
She doesn't even know the real reason I left her.
And now... now I don't know if I can ever fix it."

Mom: "Oh, my son... you love her."
His mother sighed softly, but there was warmth in her voice.

Kook: "More than anything."
Jungkook shut his eyes, tears slipping down his face.
