Past

One night, after a particularly tense day, Tae tried to reach out once more.

She can sense what is going to happen if they don't speak anymore.

It's been already 5 weeks since he has been acting like that. She can't take it anymore.

Tae: “Kook, we need to talk about this. It’s like we’re living separate lives under the same roof.”

Kook: “I don’t know what else to say. I’m trying, but I feel like nothing changes.”
Kook’s response was curt.

Tae: “It’s not just about talking.
It’s about understanding each other.
I don’t know how we got here.”
Tae’s voice cracked.

Kook: “I’m tired, Tae. I’m tired of feeling like I can’t trust you and of feeling like we’re stuck in this limbo.”

Tae: “We need to address this before it destroys us, Kookie” she said, her voice trembling with emotion.

The breaking point came for Tae as tried to have a heart-to-heart conversation.

Kook: “I don’t know if we can fix this. It feels like we’re too far gone.”
Kook’s eyes were tired and pained.

Tae: “We owe it to ourselves to try. I love you, Jungkook, and I don’t want to lose what we had.”
Tae’s tears flowed freely.

Kook: “I just don’t know if I can get past this. It’s become too hard.”
Kook’s expression was a mix of guilt and resignation.

Here kook is expressing about how much it is being bard for him too to hurt her. It's the last thing he wanna do to her.

Kook had already made the painful decision to end their relationship.

He knew it would be difficult to continue living together, but the emotional strain was too much.

Tae: "You know how many times we kissed each other in the past few weeks and how many times we made love.
You remember the last time we cuddled to sleep.
The last time you hugged me properly.
The last time you hugged me before leaving for work.
The last time when you called me nicknames."

Kook: “I think it’s time for us to go our separate ways.”
Kook began, his voice heavy with sadness.

Tae’s eyes widened in shock.

Tae: "Kook, please don’t do this. We can work through our issues. You can't say something so important just like that."

Kook’s voice wavered.

Kook: "I’ve tried, but I don’t think I can rebuild the trust we’ve lost. It’s too hard.”

Tae: “Are you saying you don’t love me anymore?
And you doubting me?
On our love?
On my love?
And on your love?
Our everything?”
Tae’s heart shattered. She says with a mocking tone as the tears are making their way down her cheeks.

Kook looked away, unable to meet her eyes. Kook: “I don’t know if love is enough anymore.”

Tae: "It's kinda weird that we no longer exist in each other's life.
It is like nothing happened between us, but how can it be nothing when it was everything till this point of time, Jungkook?"
She says trying to go near him.

Kook: "It was nothing as hard as holding on to something that wasn't real, Taehyung. Not every loss is bad.
Sometimes, it sets you free to understand it."
He says in an emotionless tone with a blank face, moving away from her.

He can't ignore
her touch,
her plea,
her heart shattering,
he doesn't want to break her even more right in front of his eyes when he can't keep his heart together.

Tae: "noo d-don't l-lea-ave mee."

Tae: "K-koo, just listen t-to m-e once I w-aant to explain."

Kook: "What you will explain, huh?" in a cold tone.

Tae: "Just once. Can't you give me a chance?"

Kook: "I've seen enough and heard enough."

Tae: "Do you even trust me?"

Kook: "No, I lost it when I saw you with other men. NOW GET OUT. TAKE YOUR SHIT"

Tae: "W-what was y-you even talking about? Let's sort out p-please d-don't do t-this t-to me koo.
There is nothing really between me and anyone other than you.
You are the only one in my life. I love you, Kook. We can sort this out.
Listen to me I will give you some time and we can-"

Kook: "ENOUGH of your action, and please leave before I drag you out."
His voice trembled when he spoke.

As he completes speaking to her, he leaves the room. Tae stays there sobbing. And falls asleep on the floor.

Meanwhile, Kook who already packed most of his stuff took them with him and left the house with red-shot eyes, before taking Tae and tucking her in bed messaging Jimin to come home from Tae's mobile and pecking on her forehead one last time before leaving
from their home,
from her life.

Kook left the place along with his mom. He already told everything to his mom and cried in her arms like a kid.

She said she would speak to Mr Kim, but Kook said no, and it was a waste of time he had already tried to speak to him, but there was no use.

Kook is also afraid of how Mr. Kim will speak to his mom, like the way he uses his words to her.

Mrs. Jeon always loved Tae like her own child and she was the happiest person when she got to know about Taekook's relationship.

She even suggested Kook try any other method by telling her the truth, but Mr Kim said not to say anything to his daughter regarding their conversation.

Tell me how it was...
