Marinette stood in the entryway of their new apartment welcoming their friends and family in for a housewarming potluck party they were throwing, having decided on a potluck so that Marinette didn't have to prepare a bunch of food for everyone in her state, they had pictures of them growing up throughout the apartment, with custom signs throughout of their favorite quotes from their friends and each other. Though the newest addition to their photos was an ultrasound image on their mantel.
"Girl I can't believe you're still gonna go to college while you're pregnant." Alya spoke as she entered the apartment hugging Marinette tight, Marinette and Adrien had yet to tell his father of the addition to the Agreste bloodline, but they hoped that the picture on the mantle might be hint enough for him, walking deeper inside with Alya Marinette began to snack on just about everything that had been brought.
"Of course I am, how am I supposed to learn how to manage a multibillion euro company without going to college, I'll just switch to online when I can't physically go to classes anymore and I've already talked with the college about my...situation, and I'm starting classes early online so that I can be ahead and do my exams before I pop." Marinette explained with her mouth full, Adrien stepping to her side, affectionately wiping the corner of her mouth before turning back to his own conversation with his friends. Marinette smiled at the simple action before turning back to Alya.
"You two really are in sync, its like he can read your mind." Alya laughed softly as she watched the gesture and seeing both of them turn back to their own conversations like nothing had happened in the first place, entirely ignoring that Marinette had been stuffing her face with every food she could get her hands on.
"Obviously, we are soulmates after all, aren't you and Nino like that?" Marinette was met with laughter and Alya shaking her head in disagreement, the only couple she'd ever seen so in sync was Adrien and Marinette, considering how long they'd spent together and apart.
Marinette suddenly received a tight hug from behind, a familiar dark haired mother figure behind her, Marinette laughing as she realized Nathalie had found the ultrasound image that was labeled with the due date of the baby they were expecting which was early March of the next year which meant they'd be parents just in time for the nice seasons in Paris and they could take their child with them on trips for the spring and summer and it also meant Marinette would be able to wear dresses in the final trimester of her pregnancy rather than stuffing herself into uncomfortable pants for the colder months. Turning around Marinette returned the hug holding Nathalie tight before stepping back and holding her hands gently as she was suddenly under a barrage of questions about the pregnancy and if they knew anything about the baby yet, Marinette dodging most of the questions about timing. Adrien stepped in to the conversation wrapping his arm around Marinette's waist, nuzzling his face into her hair.
"Nathalie, I think that's enough questions, Marinette needs to sit and relax for a little bit, she's been cleaning all day." Adrien spoke trying to get his girlfriend out of the conversation so that she could relax for a little while before they had to do more cleaning after everyone left or anyone offered Marinette a drink which she would be to polite to reject even though she was in no state to consume alcohol.
"Oh um yes, so much cleaning." Marinette added as she moved with Adrien towards the sofa, Alya laughing and following them, sitting on the very obviously luxury couch, noticing the splurge on nice furniture.
"I'll stick around after the party to help clean up if you guys need the help." Alya offered some of their friends who had been sitting on the couch offering the same as they entered the conversation.
"I can help too, me and Ivan don't have anywhere to be, and I'm always happy to help." Mylene offered as she looked at the trio watching gout of the corner of her eye as Nino walked over to join them on the sofa, Marinette was suddenly very grateful Adrien had decided to by a large sectional for their apartment to entertain, they probably wouldn't do this very often for much longer, but it was nice to be surrounded by their friends.
After a while a competition in Ultimate Mecha Strike 3 broke out and everyone who had been in their graduating class including the others who were only slightly older or their friends from outside school like Kagami and Felix, everyone crowded around the tv on the floor or squished on the couch couples having moved into each others laps, Marinette was teamed with against Felix and Adrien who were behind in points as they battled each other, Marinette carrying all of Alya's weight for the resounding victory as the girls beat the boys, Marinette and Alya high fiving in victory before Adrien began to tickle Marinette in revenge.
"HEY!" Marinette squealed as she rushed to push his hands away from her sides before the couple both relaxed his arms moving securely around her waist a small smile crossing his face as his hands relaxed on her stomach.
"Sorry bugaboo, but you deserved that after kicking my butt so many times." He spoke softly as he pulled her back against his chest Marinette relaxing back against him as they now cuddled up handing their controllers off to their friends to play the game, completely absorbed into their own world for only a moment before they were pulled back into reality by people cheering for who they thought would win and the older guests leaving for the night.
Marinette watched quietly as all their friends enjoyed themselves, she was glad that she could still have fun with everyone, closing her eyes and smiling as she unintentionally fell asleep against Adriens chest, exhaustion taking her over and she slept soundly waking up as everyone was cleaning up her kitchen it taking everyone no time to get everything cleaned and put away or loaded in the dishwasher. Standing up and walking over to the kitchen thanking all of her friends for cleaning up everything and saying goodbye to everyone as they left the apartment, Marinette and Adrien going to bed after everyone was gone enjoying the rest of their quiet evening together talking about their baby and what they would be naming them or what the gender would be.
