It was a rainy Saturday morning for the couple, looking out over Paris as the skyline only reflected the rain that poured, snow had melted, and their anticipation for their daughter grew with the swelling of Marinette's stomach, it was January 15th, approximately 9 days out from Marinette's due date, where they would finally meet their new addition, Emma was the name they'd already given their daughter, despite never having fully seen her face aside from the ultrasounds which Marinette constantly argued that their daughter would have his nose, and he would argue that the newborn would be born with her skin tone, a constant back and forth of how much they wanted their daughter to look like the other, but in the end, they would be happy if their little angel was healthy.

"Adrien, Babe." Marinette's voice echoed through the quiet apartment, the only noise being the videos on her phone and the small tapping of Adriens fingers against a keyboard as he wrote up his essay for his teaching course on human analysis in young minds, a lesson where he got to interview young children and figure out how their miraculous little minds worked.
"Yes princess?" Adrien hadn't quite caught on to the urgency in his precious princess's voice as his eyes remained glued to his laptop, he wasn't on the couch, which made it slightly easier to tune out her phone and not get distracted with it or his own.
"I feel like I'm gonna be sick." Marinette called out, barely being able to move herself into an even remotely standing position, her belly almost sending her into a forward flop as her weight was so thrown off by their enormous daughter, who not only showed her size my the stretch marks on Marinette's stomach, but was also measured by the doctors to be in the 99th percentile and about a week ahead of her growth schedule.
"What was that princess?" Adrien asked, not entirely understanding the implications, but as he finally looked up he could see her pale green complexion, she looked as though she could throw up at any moment if she took even a step forward. "Oh shit! Stay right where you are baby!" He ran off to collect everything he would need to care for her, making sure she had a trash can before running off to prepare any other necessary items for his fiance.

Marinette had sat back down, holding the small empty trash can Adrien had given her, however it was only a matter of time before a wave of pain washed over Marinette and she threw up, not being able to handle pain as well after her car accident a few years earlier. Adrien came in just moments later, covered in bags he had over prepared like 13 baby go bags, when Marinette told him they only needed 1 suitcase, a couple changes of clothes for her, and their daughter, and him, then toiletries, and that was it. But seeing him with that many bags on him did make Marinette forget about the pain and begin to laugh.

"You look completely ridiculous Adrien." Marinette laughed while talking, hoping he knew just how ridiculous he looked, pulling her phone out she snapped a picture of her future husband to show to everyone.
"I may look ridiculous, but I've got everything we need for this baby, so are you in labor?" He asked, still not entirely sure that she was about to have their daughter, when her doctor clearly said the baby could come any day now.
"I think so, but the nausea is only triggered when it's a bad pain, so I'm okay for right now." Marinette explained briefly, watching as Adrien set all the bags down and walked over to her, setting the trash can to the side and laying his head in her lap both his hands on her stomach.
"Gotta admire this while it lasts..." He whispered as he gently held her large stomach, their daughter was usually lively when he spoke to her, but her kicks were few and far between, a sign the doctor told them to look for when Marinette was in labor.

They layed on the couch for a few hours, Adrien feeding Marinette whenever she asked for food, Adrien was also timing her contractions, they were 10 minutes apart at the moment he layed down.
Four hours passed and they were 9 minutes apart and Marinette was feeling the pain a little more intensely, making her unable to focus when the pain was happening.
Four hours after that they were 6 minutes apart, it was about to hit 12 am and Marinette was exhausted, she wanted to go to sleep, but Adrien was sure they would have to go to the hospital that night, but Marinette wouldn't take no for an answer when it came to her sleeping, standing up from the couch, walking her to their bedroom he helped her lay in the bed.

"I'm gonna be up for a while, so you can get some sleep love." Adrien spoke softly, watching as Marinette tried her best to fall asleep with her contractions so close together she eventually did it, Adrien layed next to her in bed waiting for the moment Marinette would wake up and tell him to take her to the hospital.
Adrien layed there for a good 2 hours with Marinette asleep next to him before he felt her shifting, watching from next to her as she sat up. "It's time." Marinette's voice was soft as she was still exhausted, getting up slowly out of bed Adrien rushed over to her side grabbing one of the many bags and throwing it over his shoulder as he lead her down to the car.
"Take it slow princess." He held her hand the whole way as she fought through every contraction, which were about 4 minutes apart now.
"Don't you think I know that Agreste!" Marinette snapped as she was mid contraction when he was talking to her, he knew she didn't mean it, she was just in a lot of pain and couldn't control how she felt. Getting her in the car Adrien began to drive, not wanting to waste any time getting her to the hospital.

When they finally arrived, it seemed like everything moved in slow motion for them, they were in a triage room, the doctors telling them Marinette was in labor, and was pretty close to having their daughter.
20 minutes later they were in a room where the doctors advised they break Marinette's water and give her a walking epidural, so that she could keep moving throughout her labor to help the process along, that all happened within the first 2 hours of them being there, Marinette's contractions only got worse after they broke her water, and Adrien couldn't stand seeing her in so much pain, she looked miserable, and he hated it. Squeezing the bed rails her skin was pale and she couldn't stand very well on her own, but Adrien would support her whenever the nurses encouraged her to stand. They wandered the halls through the early hours of the morning, Adrien getting stopped a few times in the hall by new mothers who were around their age and fans of his for pictures, but his main focus was always on Marinette, going straight back to her after a picture.

"I need to lay down." Marinette spoke quickly, she could feel an intense pressure, and her bump was the lowest it had ever been, nodding he went and layed her down, calling for the nurses and doctor as both him and Marinette had a strong feeling it was time, they were about to meet their daughter.
"Alright Marinette, are you ready?" The doctor asked, wanting to make sure Marinette was just as ready as her body was, Marinette looked down, shaking her head, she was terrified, she was about to deliver a whole little human, how could she ever be ready for that. "Alright, well I need you to be brave and push, for 30 seconds when I tell you to." The doctor spoke, it was about a minute before the doctor told her to go and started counting to 30 for her, holding her breath the whole time as she pushed.
Adrien watched as he held one of Marinette's legs up while she pushed, he couldn't exactly tell what was happening, as his eyes were glued to Marinette as she went through all of this just to bring their daughter into the world. "You got this Mar." He spoke softly as he looked at her, she had in a way never looked more beautiful to him.

She pushed for 30 minutes, it was 5 am, and finally at 5:30 the cry of a baby echoed through the room, the small form layed on Marinette's chest as she held their daughter for the first time while the doctors cleaned off the crying baby who immediately settled when placed on Marinette's chest. Adrien had tears in his eyes as he stepped closer to her, looking at the small baby in her arms, he wasn't sure if he'd ever seen anything more beautiful in his life. His eyes were glued to his daughter and fiancé as the moment cemented into his memory.

"She's beautiful." Marinette whispered as she held their daughter to her chest. The nurses took their little girl for a few minutes shortly after, making sure she got all her vaccines and treatments, weighing her the baby girl weighed 3 kilos, which made Adrien so happy that his daughter was healthy.
"She's definitely the most beautiful little girl I've ever seen." Adrien whispered as he kissed his now clean daughters head, she had a full head of bright blonde hair, just like Adrien.
