Everything had gone so fast, yet so incredibly slow, as they now had a newborn, it hadn't even crossed their minds to give anyone a call or text, their focus was on their daughter, their perfect baby girl who was currently sound asleep in Adriens arms, he was pacing back and forth in the hospital room, neither Adrien or Marinette had even remotely glanced at their phones, granted, the small devices were on their bedside tables back in their apartment, texts and calls ringing throughout the apartment as anyone and everyone tried to get a hold of them, all their friends, Adriens father, and Nathalie had been calling them, but the young couple was none the wiser to their repeated missed calls or unread text messages. It wasn't until Gabriel Agreste showed up at the hospital with Nathalie in toe that both of them realized they didn't have their phones.
"Ms.Dupain-Cheng, Mr.Agreste, you have 2 visitors." A nurse spoke looking at Adrien and Marinette who were exhausted, yet incredibly happy with their little girl.
"Who is it?" Adrien asked handing the newborn baby to Marinette as he went to check his phone before realizing he'd left it at home. "Oh my- I left our phones at home Mar." Adrien groaned smacking himself before going to see who was here to see them when they didn't even have their phones to tell anyone that the baby was here.
"You know at least a text would've been nice." His father briefly scolded before Adrien could say anything.
"Sorry Dad, Mari was so close I grabbed the bag and just rushed her out the door, both our phones are at home." Adrien explained while walking his dad to the hospital room where Marinette was laying in bed, relaxing with their newborn baby girl.
"Well that explains it, all of your friends were calling the house worried something had happened, now I know to let them know it's good news." Nathalie spoke as she walked over to Marinette smiling as she saw the baby in Marinette's arms, it was like a full circle moment, she watched Adriens mother become a mother, and now she was watching Adrien become a father and his fiance become a mother.Marinette had yet to say a word after the first moments seeing their daughter, her entire mind consumed by the new responsibility that was held over her head, she was intimidated, terrified, yet so utterly in love with the baby girl in her arms, the name Emma embroidered on her blanket, she looked up to see Adriens father with tears in his eyes as he noticed the baby girl's name, a name that honored Adriens mother, who had passed long before her own, but they still honored her own by giving her Marinette's mother's name as her middle name, Emma Sabine Agreste.
Marinette and Adrien had agreed that naming their children with their parents in mind was the perfect choice for both of them, in a way it kept them alive, yet now in a form of their hearts outside their bodies in their daughter.
Three days passed and Marinette and Emma were both released from the hospital, of course Adrien had gone and collected their phones from their apartment while Nathalie and his father stayed with Marinette and Emma, giving Alya permission to go to their apartment and set up a welcome home dinner party for them, under the exception that anything that was brought had to be in disposable containers, so that neither him or Marinette had to do dishes, he'd also emailed all of his and Marinette's professors that their baby had been born so they would need some extra time on any projects and that they would be virtually attending classes until further notice.
As they walked through the door Adrien carrying the car seat with emma while Marinette hobbled in like a penguin they were greeted by almost all of their high school friends, everyone had caught flights home to surprise them, and there was so much food that it would be hard to choose what to eat first."Welcome home!" Alya chirped as she ran over hugging Marinette briefly before snagging the newborn carseat out of Adriens hands wanting to get a good look at the newborn baby girl. "Let me see this munchkin. Aunty Alya waited 9 months to meet you." Alya's behavior made both Marinette and Adrien laugh as they watched Alya freeze, almost as though she'd had a heart attack before looking to Nino with a blank expression. "I want a baby." She spoke bluntly which caused most of their friends to laugh, though that sent the poor baby into a crying fit.
Marinette quickly rushed over to comfort her crying baby, moving the fastest Adrien had seen her move since the birth. "It's okay, Mommy's right here." Marinette whispered as she gently bounced Emma, the baby girl settling down once hearing her mother's heartbeat. "Daddy's here too see..." Marinette walked over to Adrien smiling softly as the baby girl's eyes opened ever so slightly, revealing her beautiful blue eyes.
"Again, I repeat, I want a baby." Alya spoke punching Nino's arm as the group laughed much softer this time.
"Maybe in a few years babe, after I finish film school." Nino laughed as he hugged Alya, everyone slowly took turns holding the baby, some more cautious than others such as Kim, and Alix, who were not very fond of the idea of babies, but girls like Rose and Mylene took to it happily, even Ivan was holding the baby happily, that was until Emma began crying and she was quickly handed back to Marinette or Adrien.
"You guys made a beautiful baby." Luka spoke as he watched the couple tend to their daughter with so much love in their eyes, their daughter really was beautiful.Marinette only looked up at Luka and smiled softly, a smile he hadn't seen since she was his, before he stopped letting her aunt keep him on a chain. But he knew that there were other people out to get them, both Adrien and Marinette, and now their daughter would be caught directly in the middle of it all, the couple that practically ruled Paris because of the high profile of Adriens entire existence, he knew for a fact that Lila was definitely still out to get Adrien, whether he had a kid or not.
