2 weeks later their plan was set, they'd set up a fake wedding, with Chloe's help they had managed to use the hotel as the stage, Emma was with Nathalie while Marinette was dressed in one of Gabriel's original dress designs, though it wasn't her dress, Gabriel still had that deep under wrap's, there was no way Marinette would allow anyone to see that dress before her actual wedding day, though the look of herself in a wedding dress made her smile, Adrien had made sure to be very visible in a suit in the lobby, pictures all over the internet of their 'wedding' at the Grand Paris Hotel, which meant their trap was set, Lila hadn't been invited, which meant that any information that wasn't already on the internet was from an uninvited guest. The wedding was a facadé, but the feeling was all to real to the actually engaged couple, they'd set it up to where all of their friends would be in town, maximizing their chances of the event looking legit.
It was when they all got a notification on their phones nearly in unison that everyone became high alert, all looking for the unwelcome party guest, the picture was of Adrien chatting with Nino in the lobby of the hotel, but the hotel security was tight, which meant it had to be someone that was either on staff, or could easily pass as a plus one."You got your eyes peeled?" Adrien asked softly as he walked past Max who had the cameras in the hotel open on his laptop.
"Watching like a hawk." Max responded as he glanced up at Adrien then back at his computer screen, they also had Marinette's room right in front of a camera in case any funny business came along, but so far everything had looked normal.
"I'm gonna go check on my bride." Adrien spoke as he left the security stand and headed towards Marinette's room, where he hoped to find his fiancée fully dressed in white, he definitely wasn't disappointed when he entered and was met with his lovely wife-to-be fully dressed in a gorgeous white dress, holding their crying 1 month old daughter.
"Oh thank God you're here." Marinette quickly handed Emma over to Adrien, the young woman rubbing her temples trying to ease a growing migraine. "She's been crying for 20 minutes I'm leaking through my dress and I only have my actual dress left to change into if I ruin this one." Marinette briefly disappeared behind a partially closed door as she grabbed absorbent padding for the inside of her dress, laughing softly as he held his daughter while Marinette cleaned herself up.
"Little Emma has just been giving Mama a bunch of trouble." Adrien laughed as he gently held his precious bundle, the baby girl in a small dress that would definitely not last much longer as a cozy onesie happily awaited her little figure.
"She's been a gem up until 20 minutes ago." Nathalie spoke up as she walked over with a warmed bottle, giving it to Adrien so that the infant wouldn't be hungry anymore.Their lighthearted moment was interrupted as another notification rang through on Adrien and Marinette's phones, grabbing his phone he saw a message that read 'The Fox is on the move towards your location.' a code meaning Lila was headed their way from Max, handing Emma back to Nathalie Adrien gave Marinette a quick kiss before going to stand guard at the door, waiting on the inside for the impending knock, knowing exactly when it was coming thanks to Max and his expert security system. Opening the door before her knuckles could rasp on the door, glaring at Lila as he stood in front of her.
"Lila, what are you doing here?" He confronted her head on, knowing for a fact she wasn't supposed to be there, especially not at his fiancée's room.
"Oh Adrien! I was just coming to congratulate Marinette!" Lila spoke innocently as though she were meant to be there.
"We appreciate that, but as far as I'm aware, you weren't invited." His voice sounded almost hostile, as he protected his family from a possible threat.
"Of course I was! Chloe invited me as her plus one, and I made it back into town from saving orphaned children in Africa just in time, and I hadn't gotten a chance to see your rumouredly beautiful little girl yet." Lila spoke with a wide smile, Adrien knowing very well that Chloe had not invited a plus one.
"As I'm sure you know, we're having an unplugged ceremony, so if you intend to stay, all electronics will have to go in a safe in the lobby." Adrien spoke with a smirk, holding his hand out to take Lila's phone off of her.
"Are you sure you can't make an exception for me? My mom is in the hospital and might die soon, and I'm waiting for a call from the hospital..." Lila's voice was sickeningly sweet yet sad at the same time, Adrien rolling his eyes at the obvious lie.
"No exceptions." He snapped briefly before Marinette cleared her throat noting his tone.Adrien smirked slightly as Lila handed over her devices, knowing very well they had the answers to all his families problems right in his hands. Looking back to Marinette who was smiling wide at the success of their plan so far. Sending Lila back to the lobby Adrien quickly closed the door behind them, smiling triumphantly, turning on the screen to see it locked, which was entirely expected though, that's what they had markov for, the small robot quickly hacking into the device, they found in the photo gallery numerous pictures of them, even doing mundane things like grocery shopping, or there were even pictures of him and Marinette together shopping for baby stuff in November, Though none of these images had been posted, it was still entirely uncalled for her to be stalking him, especially when he was doing such personal activities like shopping with his fiancée for their daughter.
"This has to end." Marinette spoke softly as she stood with Adrien, looking at the images with him.
"I entirely agree m'lady." Adrien had a cheshire smirk as he thought of the perfect way to end Lila's reign over their lives.
