"Where's your ID, kid?" After leaving Yoojung collapsed on floor, Ni-ki decided to head to a place he wasn't allowed to go to before.

It was a nightclub, and his hyungs would often come here to have fun all the way back. Jungwon, then, being the practical leader he was, forbade himself and Ni-ki from joining them since technically they weren't old enough in Human years.

He could recall how his older friends said clubbing made them "feel Human," and he had always wanted to know what that meant.

Being the amazingly good kid I was, I listened to hyung though I could've easily sneaked in. Fortunately, he was now 20 in Human years. Though, this dumb guard was in between Ni-ki and his desire to understand what Human partying was like.

Almost too confidently, Ni-ki replies, "I don't need one, I'm of age."

The guard gives him a judgemental look up and down, "Doesn't seem like it." Ni-ki winks at the guard as a clap back to his judgemental stare, and the guard suddenly looked uncomfortable. This is when Ni-ki realized he liked pushing Human buttons, the same way he pissed off Yoojung earlier. The guard loudly declares in relatiation, "Out!"

The Vampire scoffs, looking at the sky as if he was asking God why Humans were this way. When he locks eyes with the guard again, he sharply says, "I'm much older than you in reality, big boy." Unfortunately, it's not like he had physical proof of his age.

"You're not fooling anyone. And you're holding the line. Get out," the guard harshly points to the exit of the line. At this point, Ni-ki was ready to pounce, evident by how his eyes darken.

He seriously debated on killing the guy right there and then, but he decided it wasn't worth the effort. "I think you yourself are fooled by my youthful beauty." With that, he backs off.

Instead of going through the official entrances, he goes around the back of the building and transforms into a bat. The effort he was putting into this was from how he genuinely wanted to know what his older friends meant by feeling Human. He flies around until he finds an open window, letting himself in.

The outside of the building certainly didn't do what was actually happening inside justice. The music was 10x louder and different coloured lights illuminated the area. The bass of the songs were so impactful that Ni-ki could even feel it in his chest.

No one notices Ni-ki circulating as a bat because they were all too busy in their own reckless worlds. He finds the men's washroom and heads in as someone else opens the door. He goes into one of the stalls, and that is when he transforms back into his humanoid form.

Quickly and eagerly, he leaves the washroom and goes into where all the action was. Well, not without passing by a couple making out in the hallway.

What he saw when he got to the actual place, however? Bodies on bodies.

People were rocking hard to the music in all kinds of ways: women were dancing against men, people were screaming lyrics (some misconstrued), and some were going at it at each corner.

Is this what people mean when they say that nightclubbing helps us feel Human?

It was rowdy around here, and the Vampire boy was eager to join in on the fun. The production of hormones which comes about as a result of the social bonding in the environment stimulated him.

Humans are social creatures, they are energized by aesthetics and by the others around them.

Ni-ki has always been one who enjoyed stimulation and adrenaline. He often made fun of his adoptive brothers to get reactions out of them. Unknown to most, he was also an excellent dancer, so obviously he released positive endorphins often.

When he finds a spot in the thick crowd, he began dancing along to the music. He couldn't lie, he was enjoying this, and he ended up staying until the nightclub closed for the morning.

It was now the preceding morning, and the birds were singing.

Yoojung is awoken to a bright window flashing in her eyes; or a lack of thereof. She groans as she realizes that she was uncomfortably propped on the hard floor, and her body ached. Groggily, she sits on her butt and sees that the Vampire didn't close her window when she asked him to.

Asshole. Could've gotten me robbed.
Well, she was dying anyway, so her belongings deserved to be with people who were actually going to live and use them. Oh, yeah- And she was apparently getting erased from existence? She still had no clue how that was going to work. Ni-ki didn't exactly go into the details last night.

Nevertheless, she had a life she still needed to live. Today was a school day, and she wasn't going to use her illness as an excuse to stop grinding.

She looks up to her clock to check the time like she does every morning. To her horror, it was 11am. She had a morning class at 9.

"FUCK!"

"Thank you!" Yoojung exclaims to the driver as she hurriedly hops off the bus. She was a mess. Her hair was in a messy ponytail, she was dressed in a hoodie and sweats, her backpack was holding onto dear life to her right shoulder- There was so much going on.

This wasn't a typical day for Yoojung; she was usually more well groomed than this. Her mother enjoyed aesthetics and always made sure she looked pleasant growing up. Furthermore, her father made sure she was never late for events.

She thought her day couldn't get any worse until she realizes someone walking slightly above her. It was Ni-ki balancing on a short stone wall, trailing her. The guy who left my window open and lights on! She instantly groans when she sees the evil grin on his face, "What are you? A Grim Reaper? Why are you creeping up on me like you're going to take my life soon?"

"Because I am and will for the sake of the universe," he almost too proudly states. "I have more details about your erasure to spare with you."

"I don't have the time. You made me late for school! How long have you been following me?" The way she was brushing this detrimental topic somewhat surprised Ni-ki, but he too decided to act at ease.

"Since you boarded the bus I was on," he says as he continues to follow her. "You look like a mess. Is the in-patient mentality getting to you already?"

"Why are you so fucking up my ass?" she snaps, stopping in her tracks to look up and glare at him. He smiles to himself when he realizes he got a reaction from her.

He stops as well. He hops off of the short stone wall to stand right in front of her. "I realized lately that I like pushing peoples' buttons. It makes me feel Human."

That sounds stupid. "What is being Human to you?"

He answers almost too quickly. "Being unserious, ignorant."

"That's not even right," she scoffs. "What's your source?"

"People who club," he responds like it was reliable. Now that she took a closer look at him, it was pretty evident that he just came from a club. His clothes looked pretty scuffed.

She couldn't help but scoff in disbelief at the confidence in his voice, "I can't believe my dad was friends with someone so superficial."

"I can't believe you're so much like your dad... and your mom," he raises his thick eyebrows. "Skip class. You and I need to make a deal."

"After. I have school I need to get to!" Without letting him say a word, she walks away from him. He sighs, watching her leave. It's not like he didn't have time, he had plenty of time to bargain with her about erasing her life.
