As Yoojung waited in the doctor's office for her test results, unease settled in her stomach. Despite the spell masking her pain, she knew her heart cancer was worsening.

When the doctor entered, concern etched on his face, he said, "We were surprised by your results."

Yoojung forced a smile, trying to sound casual. "Surprised? How so?"

"Given your condition, we expected more noticeable symptoms," he explained, noting her outward appearance.

"I'm managing," she replied, though panic bubbled beneath her calm facade. She couldn't reveal the truth about the spell Ni-ki had cast.

The doctor shifted the conversation, saying, "Your brother Dawon is worried about you."

Yoojung's heart raced. "I didn't tell them," she confessed.

"He found your medical files but I intervened," he said.

Relief washed over her. "Thank you," she murmured. "I'll talk to them."

On the bus, Yoojung gazed out at the ravaged landscape, guilt weighing on her. As a Hybrid, she felt responsible for the damage caused by her kind.

Scrolling through her phone, she stumbled upon her estranged mother's posts. Family photos brought a mix of nostalgia and longing.

With a soft smile, she vowed to reach out to her mother, determined to bridge the gap between them.

On a rooftop, Ni-ki enjoyed the city view when Jake surprised him.

"Hyung? What are you doing here?" Ni-ki asked, startled.

"Just checking in," Jake replied, surveying the city.

Ni-ki chuckled. "How did you find me?"

"Let's just say I have my ways," Jake said with a grin.

"Thanks for coming," Ni-ki said. "I'm managing with the mission."

Jake nodded. "Remember, you're not alone in this."

"Thanks, hyung," Ni-ki replied. "But you can't stay long; the new magic jar can't hold two Vampires here."

"I know," Jake said, his expression serious. "We all miss you."

"Miss you too," Ni-ki teased.

"Are you going to see Jungwon?" Jake asked.

"Not yet," Ni-ki admitted. "He's... fine." He didn't want to worry Jake.

"Good to hear," Jake replied. "I'll see you about thirty years earlier."

"Funny," Ni-ki laughed as Jake saluted and vanished.
