"My baby sister!" her older brother, Dawon, who was eleven years her senior, engulfs her into a hug when he sees her by the door, his affectionate embrace met with a playful retort.
"Can't you act your age?" Yoojung asks, rolling her eyes as she pushed him away gently.Dawon released her, a sheepish grin tugging at the corners of his lips.
"What are you doing here?" he inquires, his tone tinged with curiosity.
"Just visiting," Yoojung replied, her expression softening as she met her brother's gaze.
"The only day you decide to visit us is when parents are in the hospital?" Dawon's words held a hint of reproach, his concern evident in his furrowed brow.
"Oh, mom and dad aren't home?" Yoojung's response was tinged with surprise, her eyes scanning the empty house.
Dawon's expression darkened as he spoke, his voice tinged with worry. "Dad's been sick," he explains, his words weighted with concern for their father's well-being.
Ni-Ki, who heard the conversation outside, by the window widens his eyes. Without any notice, he flies off.
"Oh," Yoojung simply looks down. She wanted to be in a good mood, so she attempts to distract herself.
As Yoojung wandered around her parents' house, her curiosity led her to stumble upon a dusty old book tucked away on a forgotten shelf. Intrigued, she picked it up and began to leaf through its weathered pages, her eyes scanning the faded text with growing interest.
The book, titled "The Mythical Bonds Between Vampires and Humans," seemed to hold secrets long forgotten. As she delved deeper into its contents, Yoojung's brow furrowed in confusion. The words spoke of a time when humans and vampires lived in harmony, yet were unable to coexist.
She read with growing fascination as the book described the ancient bond between the two species, a bond that had once allowed them to share a world together. But as she continued to read, Yoojung's confusion only deepened. Why, she wondered, had Humans and Vampires been unable to live together? What had caused the rift between them?
Lost in thought, Yoojung pondered the implications of the book's revelations. It seemed to hold the key to a mystery that had long haunted her, a mystery she had never fully understood. But as she searched for answers within its pages, she found herself confronted with even more questions.
Little did she know, the answers she sought lay hidden within the very fabric of her world, waiting to be uncovered by her. As she closed the book and returned it to its rightful place, Yoojung couldn't shake the feeling that she was on the brink of a discovery that would change things she thought she knew.
