As the evening sun cast a warm glow through the windows of Yoojung's apartment, Ni-ki and Yoojung engaged in a lively conversation about their interests. Yoojung's passion for journalism shone through as she spoke. "Uncovering the truth and giving a voice to the voiceless is what drives me," she said, conviction in her voice.

Ni-ki thought she reminded him of Jungwon. "That's really cool. It takes dedication to strive for something bigger than yourself," he replied.

Yoojung smiled, appreciating his understanding. "It can be tough, but knowing you're making a difference makes it worthwhile," she said, reflecting on her hard work.

Curious, Yoojung asked about Ni-ki's interests. "I guess I enjoy Human parties," he said. "They're a chance to escape and have fun. I'm actually planning to go to one today."

Her brow furrowed. "I've never been a party person," she admitted, sounding uncertain.

"Sometimes you need to step out of your comfort zone and try new things."

Yoojung sighed, "I know, but with my limited time and another quiz coming up, it's hard."

Ni-ki's impatience grew. "You can't hide from new experiences forever. You need to take a leap of faith."

Yoojung's shoulders slumped. "It's just overwhelming. The loud music, the strangers..."

Ni-ki smirked, rolling his eyes. "You worry too much. Just relax and go with it."

Annoyed, Yoojung shot back, "Easy for you to say. Parties are your thing, not mine."

"Fine," Ni-ki retorted, frustration evident. "Stay cooped up if you want, but don't complain about missing out later."

As he turned to leave, Yoojung felt a pang of guilt. Maybe she had been too quick to dismiss his suggestion. "Wait, Ni-ki," she called. "I'll come with you."

His triumphant smile reassured her. "That's more like it! You won't regret it."

They set off to the party, but as they entered, Ni-ki noticed Yoojung's discomfort. The loud music and flashing lights were a stark contrast to their usual quiet evenings. Yoojung fidgeted, her eyes darting around.

"Just relax," Ni-ki whispered, trying to ease her anxiety.

Yoojung forced a smile, but she felt out of place, sticking close to Ni-ki as they navigated through the crowd. As the night wore on, her unease grew.

Suddenly, a confident stranger approached, leaning in with flirtatious intent. Ni-ki's protective instincts kicked in, and he stepped between Yoojung and the stranger, his demeanor fierce. "Back off," he hissed, prompting the stranger to retreat.

Noticing Yoojung's agitation, Ni-ki suggested they step outside. Grateful for the escape, Yoojung took a deep breath of fresh air, leaning against the building to calm herself. Ni-ki stood beside her, offering silent support.

Realizing his assumption that all humans enjoyed parties was wrong, Ni-ki felt empathy for Yoojung. He struggled to find the right words to comfort her, feeling frustrated by his limitations.

"I'm sorry, Ni-ki," Yoojung finally said. "I know you wanted to have fun, but crowds are hard for me."

Ni-ki shook his head. "It's fine. I just wanted you to experience something different."

Yoojung smiled, warmth spreading in her chest at his understanding. They decided to head back to her apartment. Despite the night not going as planned, she felt grateful for Ni-ki's support.

Once inside, Ni-ki was surprised by the calm atmosphere. "Seriously? Chess is your idea of fun?" he asked, incredulous.

Watching Yoojung carefully consider her moves, he found himself drawn into the game. "It's not just about fun; it's strategy and outsmarting your opponent," she replied with a smirk.

Ni-ki scoffed, hovering over a pawn. "Sounds dumb."

"Maybe for you," she teased, a playful glint in her eye. "But it's a challenge of wits."

As they played, tension filled the air. Each move was met with careful thought, and their unspoken competition spoke volumes. In the realm of chess, as in life, victories often came in quiet moments of strategy.
