ACT IIIn a strange twist of fate, the world seemed to regress back in time, but no one noticed. Time continued to flow as it always had, days turning into weeks, and months into years. Humans and Vampires went about their lives, unaware of the shift happening around them. It was as if the world had hit a reset button, yet no one realized they were living in a different era than before.
Jungwon's reverie is abruptly interrupted by Yona's voice, snapping him back to reality. He finds himself momentarily disoriented, struggling to recall the train of thought that had preoccupied his mind just moments before. As he blinks away the remnants of his daydream, he offers Yona a sheepish smile, hoping to conceal his momentary lapse in concentration.
However, deep down, he couldn't shake the nagging feeling that something important had slipped through his fingers, lost to the ether of forgotten memories.
"You look a bit frazzled, bro," Leehan points out.
"I'm taking that as an insult," Jungwon throws the nearest pillow at his friend. Though, Leehan wasn't wrong. Jungwon felt like he was somehow forced awake or something.
"Leehan is right. Where was your mind at just now? You were talking about your plans for post-graduation, and then you stopped talking mid-sentence like you saw a ghost," Minji explains, noticeably concerned.
Upon realizing the extent of their worries, he decided to be honest. "Honestly, I don't know. Something just hit me, and I don't know what."
"Are you okay?" Yona asks. With a gentle nod of his head, Jungwon brushes off the fleeting sense of disorientation, leaning in to plant a tender kiss on Yona's lips.
"Well, whatever it is. We're here for you," Grace tries her best to show Jungwon care even though she executed it awkwardly.
He simply nods at her, "Thanks."
"Anyway," Yona pulls her boyfriend. She smiles excitedly, "It's time to go on the grad cruise."
"Oh, right," he chuckled.
"Thanks for dropping us off, Minji," Grace says gratefully as they step onto the deck of the cruise ship.
Minji smiles warmly, her eyes reflecting genuine happiness for her friends. "Of course, anytime. Have the best time on your grad cruise!"
With a wave and a final goodbye, Minji watches as Jungwon, Yona, Leehan and Grace disappear into the bustling crowd, ready to embark on their adventure. She can't help but feel a twinge of bittersweetness at seeing them go, but she knows that this is just the beginning of many exciting experiences to come.
Leehan sighs as he looks at the graduating class, "Man, I feel old."
"You are," Yona whispered. Leehan rolls his eyes, realizing he forgot he was an ex-Vampire.
As Jungwon's friends continue chatting around him, he suddenly becomes aware of his attire. Looking down at himself, he notices that he's dressed in his finest clothes, ready for the grad cruise they've all been eagerly anticipating.
It's as if the momentary lapse in his thoughts caused him to forget the present moment, but now, with the reminder of the cruise, everything snaps back into focus. He shares a knowing smile with Yona, grateful for her presence and the excitement she brings to his life. Despite the brief moment of confusion, he's determined to enjoy the cruise with his friends and make lasting memories before they all embark on their separate paths after graduation. Adjusting his mindset, Jungwon joins in the conversation with renewed enthusiasm, ready to make the most of the night ahead.
As Jungwon gazes out at the horizon, a sense of anticipation fills him. Dressed for the occasion, he feels a surge of excitement for the life of humanity that awaits him beyond the confines of the ship.
The grad cruise symbolizes not only the end of one chapter but also the beginning of a new adventure filled with endless possibilities.
With each passing moment, Jungwon embraces the camaraderie of his friends and the promise of the future. He's ready to immerse himself in the experiences that lie ahead, eager to explore the world and carve out his own path. Despite the uncertainties that may come his way, he's confident in his ability to navigate the challenges and seize every opportunity that comes his way.
As the ship sets sail, Jungwon takes a deep breath, savoring the salty sea air and the sense of freedom that comes with it. With determination in his heart and a smile on his face, he sets his sights on the horizon, ready to embark on the journey of a lifetime.
"Humanity, here I come!" Jungwon jokingly exclaims into the sky, and Yona laughs beside him.
