Lately, Yoojung had found herself motivated to embrace the present, cherishing each moment as it came. This perspective inspired her to live life to the fullest, savoring every experience and making the most of every opportunity that came her way. She was determined to seize the day and create lasting memories with those she held dear, embracing the beauty of the present moment with open arms. This is why Yoojung showed up unannounced at her family's doorstep. She was greeted by surprised expressions as they opened the door. Their eyes widened in disbelief, a mixture of joy and confusion evident on their faces as they welcomed her inside. It had been a while since she last visited, and her unexpected appearance brought a sense of warmth and happiness to their home.
She approached her mother and brother with a bright smile, expressing her desire to spend some quality time together. "Hey, Mom, oppa, I was thinking we could hang out today," she suggested, her eyes shining with enthusiasm. "Maybe we could go visit a nice place and have dinner together. What do you think?"
Her mom and Dawon's faces lit up with excitement at Yoojung's suggestion. "That sounds like a wonderful idea, darling," her mother exclaimed, a warm smile spreading across her face.
"I'd love to spend some time together as a family," Dawon added, nodding in agreement.
Yoojung hesitantly glanced at Ni-ki, unsure of how her family would react to his presence. "Um, would it be okay if Cheolsu joins us?" she asked tentatively.
Yoojung gave Ni-ki the fake name "Cheolsu" to prevent her mom from recognizing him.
Yona's memory has been faltering lately, not just due to age, but also because of her recollections of her past life. She finds herself lost in memories from another time, memories that intertwine with the present in a confusing and sometimes distressing way. Names, faces, and events from her past often surface unexpectedly, mingling with her current reality and causing moments of confusion and disorientation.
As she grapples with these fragmented memories, Yona's grip on the present becomes increasingly tenuous, leading to instances where she struggles to distinguish between the past and the present.
"Who's Cheolsu?" Dawon casually inquired. Ni-ki stepped forward, revealing his face, and to Dawon's horror, he realized Ni-ki was a boy. "Who is this, Yoojung?" Dawon demanded, his tone filled with concern and surprise.
"Hello, Cheolsu. Nice to meet you," she smiled. Dawon frowned at his mother's indifference to the youngest person in the family being close to a guy. On the other hand, Yoojung and Ni-ki exhale in relief.
Yona's memory lapses prove to be a blessing in disguise as she fails to recognize Ni-ki when he is introduced to her as "Cheolsu." Despite the familiarity in his features, Yona's clouded memory allows Ni-ki to remain incognito, sparing any potential complications that could arise from her recognizing him from her past life.
