While Jesse and Kira were working on finding Jesse's mom, Wally and Dinah were working on finding someone else, which was why they were currently in the backroom of Wally's community center, which he was really starting to get off the ground, looking at a board that honestly reminded Wally of the board Barry used to try and find Thawne. The main difference aside from the person who made it was the person it was about, since this board was covered with photos of Vincent Sobel, aka Vigilante, since he was the only one of Carver's goons from the night of the attempted breakout who was still unaccounted for and Dinah was taking that personally, since she wouldn't be able to fully embrace her life in this time period again until she'd taken Sobel back to face justice in the future.
"I still think we should involve Eddie in this." Wally said as they looked at the board.
"No, that would bring up questions I don't want to answer." Dinah said.
"You mean like how both you and Vigilante are from the future and that once you catch him, you need me to take you both back there?" Wally asked.
"Exactly." Dinah said.
"Look, keeping Eddie in the dark about Crisis is one thing, I'm doing the same thing with Jesse, but he already knows about our operation and eventually, you're gonna need to tell him that you're from the future." Wally said.
"He doesn't need to know. I feel bad enough we got him involved in this life, since every step he makes into it brings him closer to learning about his connection to Thawne." Dinah said.
"You do realize that if things between you and Eddie go really well, that will make you Thawne's grandmother?" Wally asked.
"And we're never speaking of that again, because I do not want to think about how I could be related to someone as evil as the Reverse Flash." Dinah said.
"You know, there are ways around that." Wally said.
"Yeah, Eddie and I are not at the stage in our relationship to even consider talking about that, so drop it." Dinah said and Wally nodded, seeing the dangerous look in her eyes.
"Speaking of family, we both know that Jesse's real father is the Harrison Wells of this earth right? Like the Wells that Thawne killed and impersonated?" Dinah said.
"Yeah, but we can't exactly tell her that, since we have no proof and there's always a chance we're wrong about it." Wally said and Dinah nodded.
"Anyways, we're not telling Eddie about this, since if it gets to that point, I will tell him I'm from the future, but for right now, this stays between us." Dinah said.
"Okay. So, do we have any ideas on where Vigilante is now?" Wally asked her.
"My contacts say that he's been operating as a gun for hire to the highest bidder. Such a waste." Dinah said, since Vince had been such a good cop before he'd changed.
"Sometimes powers bring out the best in us, other times they bring out the worst. You and I chose to be heroes. Vincent, he chose to be a villain. No offense, I know he died a hero in the old reality." Wally said.
"None taken. The only thing this guy has in common with the Vinnie I loved is a name and appearance. He's a completely different person on this earth, since the Vincent I loved had some rough edges, but he did live by a code. This guy doesn't." Dinah assured him.
"Fair enough. And I think I have an idea about how we can use that to find him." Wally said.
"How?" Dinah asked.
"We need to figure out who his contact in the criminal underworld is, since one thing I learned being the son of a cop is that criminals like Vigilante always have someone who sets up their deals, a middle man the clients use to contract them. We find out who that is, we find him." Wally said.
"Tell me again why you didn't become a cop like your dad?" Dinah asked, since Wally definitely had the skills to be one.
"Dad freaked when Iris joined the military and I did not want to go through that too. Besides, it would probably give both of my parents a heart attack and I'd always preferred working with machines to shooting guns." Wally said.
"Says the guy who can throw lightning bolts." Dinah said.
"I didn't have my powers when I was choosing my career path and I've always preferred fixing things, since when I was a kid, one of the ways my dad and I used to bond was by working on cars in the garage. It's part of why I chose to be a mechanic before I opened up this place." Wally said and Dinah nodded.
"One thing we have in common is that Joe West inspired our careers. Since I'm from the future, I grew up watching your dad be a badass cop and he inspired me to join CCPD." Dinah said.
"Yeah, dad is great like that. And since you don't want to bring Eddie into this, I'll reach out to dad and see if he has any contacts that can help with this." Wally said and Dinah nodded.
