Chapter 27

"Yo, Koko, Inupi." In a small dim lit room, a girl's voice echoed around.

"Kiri?" Koko, who was tied up on a chair with bruises all over him. He called out to the girl with surprise.

Inupi, who was also tied up beside Koko.
"How are you here?"

"God knows. A pack of guys suddenly came attacking me from behind with damn pipes when I was on my way back home." Rian sighed. She was also tied up on a chair, just enough to face both Koko and Inupi.

"It's gonna be hard for us to get away now. The one who's behind this is—"

"Mucho, right? I figured that much." Rian cut Inupi off before he could finish saying.

"Guess you're not as brainless as your sister says."

"What is it?"

"Nothing."

"Can you two stop the argue and try getting him up?" Koko sweatdropped at his two friends, by 'him', he was referring to the guy who's tied up, thrown on the ground. It was obviously Takemichi.

"How, though?" Inupi asked.

"I don't know, maybe try kicking him in the butt?" Koko actually replied like that.

Rian lowered her head, looking at her legs that were tied along with the chair she was sitting on.
"I'd happily do that if my legs weren't tied up."

"I'm just joking, man..." Koko bitterly laughed.

It was seconds later until Rian heard someone walking to the room from outside.

"Shush. There's people coming." She commanded.

Two people came walking in the door, then closing it with a loud bang. It was Sanzu and Mucho, the 5th division captain and vice captain.

"What a pain in the ass, man." She secretly complained to herself.

"Dare to say that again?" Sanzu stepped up to her, threatening. Uncomfortable since he's standing so close in front of her. She'd definitely give his downside a kick if she could.

"Know your place now, Kiri." Mucho spoke up, which made Sanzu walk away from her.

"You do know how to follow your 'King', huh? He won't let you off the hook for this." Rian continued taunting. She knew herself that they won't do anything to her more than this because of her connections in the delinquent world.

Takemichi started coughing. Guess he's awake now. Took him long enough.

"You're awake, Hanagaki?" Mucho walked to him, asking.

"The whole conflict with Tenjiku... You know something, don't you?" He asked right away as he opened his eyes, looking at Mucho.

"Look beside you, Hanagaki." He said, making Takemichi look the other way. It's when he saw another three person tied on chairs in front of him.

"All the actors are here. Let's start, shall we?"

"What?"

"Ghost of S62, you've got big nerves."

Takemichi was clearly confused. He recognized 'S62' as the ones in Tenjiku, and not the 5th division captain in Toman.
"S62? The guys in Tenjiku, what do you mean?"
He asked Koko.

"This guy was originally buddies with Kurokawa Izana and the rest. The 6 of them who got out from Juvie, the 'Brutal Generation'. "

"That has nothing to do with you guys. Izana is my problem."

"Mucho-kun... Why did you bring me here?"
Rian doesn't get how Takemichi uses honorifics on everyone sometimes.

"The 5th division are Toman's 'discipline committee'. Allowed to punish those who betrays Toman, without getting permission from the president. Mikey put me, the strongest among all division captains in charge of this 'special unit'."

Takemichi seemed to realized something after listening to his words.
"So, does that mean I did something suspicious?"
Though he got it wrong.

"A suspect's guilt must be proven beyond reasonable doubt."

"Huh? Wait a minute! Are you saying I did something?!"
Again, Takemichi asked.

"Who knows? I don't know."

"As betraying Toman, and the mastermind behind all this is Hanagaki Takemichi, so that's why as the 1st division members, we're captured here. Am I right, Mucho?" Inupi then asked him.

"Wait! No, I'm..." Takemichi seem to be panicking. Of course, he couldn't find anything to prove that he isn't a traitor. Rian stared at Mucho. Oh, just how much she wanted to give a punch on his face.

"And Hanagaki isn't the traitor." Koko added.

"You got it all wrong, Mucho. We're not betraying Toman at all. Wee don't know anything."

"Kneel and apologize to us already, damn it! We're not telling anyone bout' this."

And they thought they could get out of this just like that. There's no way Mucho's dumb enough to not know the differences between traitors and loyals.

"What have you guys been blabbering about? You've got nothing to do with this special unit's job at all."
This sentence of his shocked the three guys.

Robbery, assaults, narcotics. Mucho had done all these bad things with Izana before. Then created a team of their own, feared and known as the Brutal Generation. It was until for some reason that Izana left, and Mikey recruited him after that.

"Don't you get it, Hanagaki? I'm one of the founders of Tenjiku. Things would've been different if I met Mikey first... You guys are now my enemy. Your life ends here."

"Not too sure bout' that, are we?" Rian raised a brow on him.

"Why follow Izana....? No matter how hard you work for him, he only sees Mikey!" Takemichi stated.

"You shit. You say he only sees Mikey? There's a reason why I abducted you guys. Kokonoi, a genius in money making. And what Izana wanted is that 'financial power'."

But how's Mucho planning to get him on board? He only listens to Inui. Even the reason he's serving for Takemichi is because Inui was under him.

"I'd kill Inui and Hanagaki. With no one to follow around, you'd have no choice but to join Tenjiku, right?"

Without even seconds after him saying that, he knocked Inui down from the chair.

"Now, Kokonoi. Join Tenjiku."
It's an official invitation.

"Or I'll be killing these two. Kokonoi, join Tenjiku and I'll let them go."

Takemichi did the wrong choice, trying to take on Mucho by himself. Though he just wanted to protect his members. Inui, who's also siding with Takemichi got beaten up, too. They're thrown to the garbage place outside after they went unconscious. Leaving Kokonoi and Rian there.

Koko was forced to join Tenjiku as Mucho expected.

"Hope you didn't forget that you abducted me too." Rian looked at Mucho. He's been ignoring her this whole time they're talking.

"You, Kiri. Izana personally wanted you to meet him. Though I'm not so willing to do it. Who knows what'd you pull up against him."

Rian smiled at him, though her eyes looked like they bite.
"Now, that's interesting. Why didn't you get me yourself, but asked your members to sneak up on me?"

"Izana told me... To not leave a scratch on you. I'd lose if I were to get you myself. But if I use my armies, then I'll have a just cause on why you're wounded."

He paused, and looked at her, meeting her in the eyes.

"Kiyone Rian... Just who the hell are you?"

"Take a guess, bastard ♡."
