Something can always be out of place, something can always be wrong. things can be seen as something their truly not. people can be liars. lies are always told. but pay close attention to the signs, their body language, their speech, that smile...

but the question is. Can your naive eyes.. sense what is wrong? Or will it sense you first, Reader? Who can truly know? Surely not me.

a huff escaped Hinata's lips as he searched his wardrobe for his kimono. Where could it have gone! this is getting ridiculous! he couldn't have lost it.. Gosh, he could already feel the guilt eating up his consciousness.

he even searched the small pile of clothes that were too small for him but he just didn't have the heart to bring up to his mother and tell her.

he walked up to his bed and got on his pale knees and looked under his bed, his hazel brown eyes searching around, only to find absolutely nothing but dust that he didn't really want to clean..

and a few old pieces of scraps from Yachi and Kiyoko cutting too big of clothes to fit him better behind his mother's back. a little hobby he had done for awhile because he could never bring up the fact his mother either always brought too small or too big clothes for him.

then again sometimes it was indeed hard to find masculine clothes that properly fit every part of him. so he made work with what he had on hand.

But when he heard his door pen, his head snapped up and bumped against the bottom of his bed. making him let out a small whimper of pain. "Oh my!" he could hear his mother say in surprise as she walked up to him.

"What in god's name.. are you okay?" She asked as she crouched down, Hinata pulled out from under the bed and looked up at his mother. her hand reached out and rubbed the top of his head. "I'm good! You just surprised me mother!" Hinata said with a bright smile. not really paying attention to his head.

She let out a sigh of relief. "Good.. What were you even doing down there anyway?" She asked as she stood up straight. Hinata put his elbows on his bed and got up also. "Well.. You see i was looking for something." Hinata said, begging in his mind that she wouldn't ask what he was searching for.

But not everything works out well for an innocent soul, and that was just proven when she crossed her arms and her golden brown eyes filled with curiosity. "What did you lose?" His mother asked him.

Hinata could feel the shame bubbling up in his gut. he looked down. "My kimono..." He muttered in shame mixed with guilt. His mother's eyebrows raised and all Hinata could imagine was her angry expression and her being disappointed but instead, when he finally mustered up the courage to look at her.. she was just holding in a laugh.

"W-what?" Hinata asked. "I'm sorry Angel. But.. The way you  look so guilty for simply loosing a piece of clothing?" She smiled down at him. "I can't say i'm not glad of the fact you get so guilty over a simple loss of a outfit you've only worn once!" She softly laughed.

Hinata could feel his cheeks burn with embarrassment. he thought he had every right to feel guilty and shame filled, he could feel the guilt eating him alive when he lost something given to him by a friend like Kiyoko and Yachi.

"M-mother.. please don't laugh.." Hinata pleaded and looked down. His mother shortly soon after slowed down and took a deep breath, stopping her ever growing laughter. "Okay okay.. I'm sorry. Where'd you last see it?" His mother asked him with a smile, crossing her arms which were covered by the drapey silk sleeves of her robe.

"Well, Last night i had it here on the chair. i think.. and then when i woke up! it was just gone.. i didnt even get to wash it.." Hinata mumbled and looked down. "Do you think Yachi and kiyoko would be mad at me?" Hinata asked.. he could practically tear up at the thought, and would most likely, well more of definitely tear up if they got mad at him for loosing this item of beautiful clothing.

"Oh honey, I doubt it.. Yachi and Kiyoko have rarely ever gotten mad at you before, why would they now?" His mother smiled reassuringly and rubbed her sons shoulders. "Maybe we just need to look for it!" His mother said with a smile.

"I guess so.." Hinata sighed. he didn't really want to think about the fact he might not be able to find it. and it fit so well too..

"Why don't you just run downstairs and check around, Natsu is asleep still so you'll have to be a little quiet. I'm sure we'll find it." She said with a comforting smile. Hinata smiled softly and nodded. "Okay Mother!" He said with a soft smile. his mother leaned down and softly kissed his temple. before Hinata ran off out of his room.

His mother smiled and turned around. she folded her hands behind her back and looked at his window. she walked up to it and unfolded her hands.

her finger tracing over the hatch that was somehow unlocked, her eyes darkened and she locked it. she knew damn well. Hinata had never left the house without telling her, he was too afraid to go anywhere alone.

So who exactly came into this room where her son slept.. and who forgot to lock the window again? Something is most definitely wrong here.. But what?
