the balls of power burned brightly on my side of the dim room as his golden shields circled in front of his balled fists. "you know this has to be done! i gave you the opportunity you've been waiting almost ten years for, why are you resisting?!" his voice echoed around the room as i slowly inched off the stairs towards him. he knew wherever he teleported i'd follow within seconds, he knew he'd have to fight me to get to peter and juno. "we could help them, strange! we would take blood off some people's hands." my eyes darted to the cell that held my father, his bright yellow eyes watched us from the darkness. i could see the muscles of his shoulders move with anticipation under his scales as he watched my powers glow before him. "their deaths have purpose and you know that," stephen drew my eyes back to him as he spoke, "it's their fate just as it's yours to play a part in it."

"i think the rules can be broken. after all isn't that what you did almighty sorcerer? wasn't it you who gave thanos the time stone willingly?" my jaw was tight as i saw his eyes darken a little at the mention of the past fight on the planet titan. he had blood on his hands because of that fight, and because of him vision was dead permanently. "that's different," he said shortly. a dry chuckle passed my lips and a stiff smile rose from it, "right, you were being a hero...but when i do this, try to save people that makes me the enemy?" he didn't answer and i saw his eyes flash down to my hands for a moment before he took the first play.

a golden rope shot from his hands and i was quick to counter with a sharp blast back in his direction. i didn't want to hurt him, that would never be the intention but if i had to i would. i flipped my body so all my weight rested on one hand against the stone floor, my body twisted and with another flip, a strong gust of purple was kicked his way. i could tell from the look on his face he knew the form i had just used, advanced techniques taught to the both of us years ago but the magic that was thrust at him was anything but what we had learned. he was thrown backward against the far wall near where norman was caged and watching us with a glint of fear and mischief mixed in his wide eyes. stephen picked himself up quickly watching as the remaining lavender whisps faded around him. his mind seemed to scream out to me as if alarms were going off inside his head.

"y/n...what have you done," he stared at me from his place beside norman's cage with a look of shock melting onto his face. my teeth ground against each other as my nails dug into my scarred palms. "i was shown the truth, something the ancient one didn't want me to find out," i could feel the veins beneath my skin pumping wildly as the power built up and began to glow in the dim lighting we stood in, "what's the matter scared of the wicked witch or something?"
