𝖙𝖍𝖊 𝖇𝖆𝖓𝖉 𝖔𝖋 𝖍𝖊𝖗𝖔𝖊𝖘 𝖘𝖊𝖙𝖙𝖑𝖊𝖉 𝖔𝖓 𝖙𝖍𝖊 𝖉𝖊𝖈𝖎𝖘𝖎𝖔𝖓 𝖙𝖔 𝖌𝖔 𝖎𝖓𝖙𝖔 𝖙𝖍𝖊 𝖘𝖈𝖍𝖔𝖔𝖑 𝖙𝖔 𝖔𝖓𝖊 𝖔𝖋 𝖙𝖍𝖊 𝖈𝖍𝖊𝖒𝖎𝖘𝖙𝖗𝖞 𝖑𝖆𝖇𝖘 𝖔𝖓 𝖙𝖍𝖊 𝖘𝖊𝖈𝖔𝖓𝖉 𝖋𝖑𝖔𝖔𝖗. reason being so they not only could begin working on cures but also so they wouldn't be sitting ducks on the rooftop. bucky's mind was an open book hoping that he would get a word through from y/n but so far it was radio silence, and it was frustrating. the pack of teenagers led the adults down into the school, the older peter and y/n close behind them whispering to one another and the other bushy-haired hero walked slowly in front of bucky. his hands fiddled with his mask and he passed the super soldier glances over his shoulder, the questions and overall need to know what had happened here were eating him alive and he knew that the tall man behind him had a good many of the answers he needed.

bucky's brows were drawn not really paying attention to those in front of him, he was concentrating on the weird magic that was put in his mind. peter slowly got into step with the super soldier and it was obvious bucky had noticed but didn't really care. "so um...you and y/n are...friends?" he asked watching as the man blinked a couple of times and lightly shook his head. bucky gave him a small glance from the corner of his eye, he noticed the man's tense shoulders under his spandex suit, the very same suit he had seen in y/n's picture albums. then his words passed through his mind again, the very same tactic he had used in bars back in the forties when he would see men with a girl that had caught his eye, granted back then bucky didn't have the same tremor to his voice but still he saw what peter was really asking.

"yeah just friends," he said with a light smirk when he noticed peter's shoulders relax. peter nodded as a subconscious smile took over his lips before a reminder set in on him, had she been alone here? "do you mind if i ask you a few questions...just 'cause i figure you know a lot more about all this," peter spun his index finger in a circle with a small chuckle leaving his lips. bucky's eyes widened at the brave assumption that he was a big player in this weird game, a big rush of air blew past his lips and he shrugged giving him the signal it was alright. peter thought to himself for a moment what to ask first, he wanted to know everything that had happened good or bad no matter how guilty it would make him feel. "i guess i should just ask first how she's been...like what has she been doing?" bucky's eyes dropped to his boots for a moment, on the outside she seemed put together but if you knew y/n connors like he and the man beside him did you could see right through her. he didn't want to sugar coat the truth because he knew if the connection the two had was like y/n had described peter would see for himself how she was.
