AIDEN'S POV
There was something weird about my mate. She was attracted to me, but I don't think she knew I was her mate. I followed her outside the class and saw her getting her tennis racket out of her locker.
I grabbed my racket too, as I had a free period and waited for five minutes (so it wouldn't seem like I was following her) before I made my way to the tennis courts.
"Mind if I join you?" I asked.
Her addictive voice replied, "No."
I passed near her, to catch her scent properly and that's when it hit me. My mate was human!
I played some rallies with her silently, trying to wrap my head around that she was a human. "Do you want to play a match?" She asked.
"Sure." I said absent-mindedly.
She served, and it was so perfect. The ball curved perfectly, and she had made up for her loss of power by speed. I lunged to retrieve the ball and hit it on the other end, which would've been impossible for a human to reach, but just as it was about to bounce the second time, she hit it, leaving me shocked.
I put on a burst of speed and hit the ball back and she replied back just as well. My mate was good at this. The points went back and forth, and even with my werewolf abilities, I was barely able to win.
At the end, I went over to the net and stretched out my hand for a handshake. My mate shook my hand and her hands were so soft. I wanted to keep holding them. I stared at her. I had not noticed it before, since we'd never been so close, that she had dark forest-green eyes.
"Um... You can let go go my hand now." She said.
"Uh, sorry. You play really good tennis." I said, flabbergasted.
