SOPHIA'S POV
I felt as though I was having drug repercussions in the morning. Aiden was my drug. And what do you do with drugs? You get over them and get sober.
I got ready for the day, and left my dorm feeling very empty. I missed Aiden carrying me, even though it was only for a week, when my ankle had been twisted.
He's a fictional creature, I told myself, Better to stay out of his shit.
I paid full attention in class, and yet I was only able to score 14/20 on the quiz that the professor had given us. I had class with Aiden today, but he didn't show up. Why didn't he come?
I could join soccer practice today, as I had unfortunately made the team. Today the standings were going to be announced, so I might as well go, I thought.
That bitchy girl who'd accused me of 'leeching of Aiden's talents' was still there. I was so mad at her for twisting my ankle, I wanted to get my revenge.
"Where's your boyfriend, leech?" She sneered.
I kept my cool, but I heard Aiden's voice say, "Right here."
Of course, he doesn't come to class, but he'll show up for soccer practice. You're not my boyfriend, I wanted to say, but I didn't. Rather, I couldn't.
"Today, you boys and girls will be playing a game in mixed teams. You are allowed to make the teams among yourselves." Coach Wilkins said.
They appointed two guys in their fourth year to make the teams, and naturally, all the guys were picked before the girls.
I was first to be picked after boys, and I was kind of sad that I wasn't on Aiden's team. The bitch was on the other team, with Aiden.
We decided the positions, and he put me as the midfielder. I gladly accepted the position, as it was my favourite position to play.
Coach blew the whistle, and the ball struggled between the attackers for a couple of minutes. Someone kicked the ball high, and I found the ball literally at my feet.
I ran ahead with it, fully aware that I was supposed to pass it, but I didn't want to. I dribbled past all the guys who tried to stop me, and I finally reached a spot from where I could kick the ball into the goal.
The bitch slammed into me, kicking my right leg, which she probably hoped was my injured one, but it wasn't. I pushed her back, and with all my power, I kicked the ball smack into her face.
She went flying back, and her nose started bleeding. I know, not the best course of action, but I was extremely furious. How dare the bitch try to injure me again?!
"Sophia, are you okay?" Aiden asked, and I stormed off the field.
I was probably off the team now, but I didn't mind.
