AIDEN'S POV

Zach Holsman. The guy I hated so much, I could rip his heart out. He was the Beta of the pack nearby, and both of us had gone to boarding school together for kids of Alphas and Betas. Since he was five years elder to me, he had filled my head with such nonsense.

I used to completely worship him when I was ten, as he had gotten his mate at such a young age. He manipulated me, and made me do so many things- bad things, and gave me so many regrets.

He was the earth wolf, so I was stuck with him nonetheless, he was always there at the elemental werewolf meetings. Fierro growled in my head, when Zach walked in, and I was glad to see that he was back.

'Aiden Pierce. You got another chick to mess with?' Zach said using mind link.

I said pointedly, 'No, she is my mate.'

He laughed, 'Figures you'd have such a weak human mate.'

I tried to keep my cool. 'She's not weak.'

'Of course, mind if I try her?' Zach chuckled.

I was beyond angry. Before I knew it, my fist connected with his jaw, and he stumbled backwards, a nasty bruise forming on his jaw.

"Aiden!" Sophia shrieked. I turned to look at her horrified expression. She pulled me back, and I noticed that Zach had grabbed a chair, to hit me with.

"I'm not a little weak kid anymore." I said, and I knew, with a snap of my fingers I'd be able to set the chair on fire. Not just the chair but him too.

But Sophia was with me. I had to fight like a human to avoid suspicion, and I quickly grabbed another chair, but Zach used his earth powers to root my feet to the ground where I was standing. I set his weak roots ablaze, and shattered the chair on his head.

The manager of the restaurant came running out from the back, and kicked all of us out.

"I'm so sorry, Sophia." I apologized.

She waved me off, "Can we go back now?"

Zach grabbed in a chokehold, "If you weren't the fucking Alpha, I'd kill you right here, right now."

"If you find the fucking nerves to do so, you know where to find me." I spat, and punched him square in the jaw, and he actually lost his balance and fell into the water.

I picked Sophia up, and she said, "I'd rather walk."

We silently walked to the car. Once in the car she asked, "What's happening, Aiden?"
