Chapter 5

AIDEN'S POV

"Aiden, your eyes..." Uh oh. My eyes must be black. That's what happens when my wolf takes over. Sophia's intoxicating scent was overwhelming all my senses and was driving me insane.

Normally, mates usually are all over each other when they meet. But I couldn't do that with Sophia who was a human.

I was still holding Sophia's hand. This time, she didn't protest and held it. We were the only people in the badminton court. I was so lost in her, that I didn't realize what I was doing, before I was doing it. I was leaning in to kiss her.

She dodged me and said, "Okay... I have to get to my class now. Bye!" and she ran off faster than a cheetah.

With a sigh, I realized that I was going to be away from Sophia for probably the rest of the school day. I really didn't want to continue this day.

So I texted my father that I was feeling a bit sick and asked him to call the university. He did so, without asking any questions, and for that I was glad.

I went to my dorm and laid down on my bed. Seconds later my phone rang. It was my best friend Callum. "Hey bro." I said defeatedly.

"What's up? Why are you so gloomy?" My beta asked. "Is it your non-existent mate?" He teased.

"I found my mate." I told him seriously.

"What really? Who is she?"

"She's a really beautiful brunette, you know like in the Taylor swift you belong with me song (see up for reference), and she has the most perfect smile ever."

"Then why are you upset? Do you miss the pack?" He said.

"Sophia's a human." I dropped the bombshell on him.

"I don't think that matters," Callum said, "She'll turn into a werewolf when you mark her."
