SOPHIA'S POV

Okay. I was officially going cuckoo. I was in my Regulation of International Finance class, a very vital class of my course, and I couldn't pay any attention. Thoughts about Aiden consumed my mind and I kept thinking about his eyes. It felt like they could pierce your soul. Especially when they turned black.

The class ended and I heard the teacher say, "The assignments are due tomorrow."

What? This was the second assignment I had missed today. I asked the pretty redhead to my right about the assignment.

"We just have to monitor some stocks and report about them." She told me.

I smiled and said, "Thanks."

I was about to head outside the class when she stopped me, "Hey wait. I'm new here, and I don't know anyone, so I was wondering if you'd be willing to be my friend?" She said in quite a rush.

"Yeah, of course. I was looking for some friends as well." I replied.

Then it was lunch break. Most of the students were heading out of the campus to have lunch, but I was just going to the cafeteria, when the redhead pulled my hand.

"Come on, let's get lunch together." She said practically bouncing with energy. I was in no mood to argue so I went along.

"Wait. I forgot to tell you my name. Ok. Let's start over." She rambled, "Hi! I'm Amber. What's your name?"

"I'm Sophia." I said. I didn't want to talk to her much, as I was in a different state of mind, but gosh, this girl just wouldn't SHUT UP!

When we reached a restaurant, I hoped she'd stop talking once the food came.

I'll tell you what she ordered:

-A cheeseburger

-Fries

-Pizza

-Chocolate Milkshake

Compared to what I ordered:

-A vegetarian salad without eggs.

I'm a vegetarian. My whole family is. I never got the appeal to eat meat.

I was just zoning in and out of listening to Amber. I was seated facing the door, so I know exactly when he walked in.
