SOPHIA'S POV

Amber came back, and Aiden left the restaurant. I don't know why I didn't tell him that I wouldn't play soccer even if my life depended on it, but he had seemed so commanding. You know, like he was hypnotizing me to do something.

Amber started talking again, and I actually paid attention to her. I also shared a bit about my life- how hard I'd worked to get into Harvard, my love for sports. I didn't talk about my family, or my previous life, as it was still a very touchy subject for me.

It won't be long before someone discovers that skeleton in your closet, a nagging voice at the back of my head told me.

I actually had a good time at lunch with Amber, and I discovered that she did not like sports, she only liked running track.

"Are you trying out for the track team?" I asked.

"Actually," she said scratching her head, "I haven't thought about that yet. All I need to do right now, is focus on staying in Harvard, and not partying... too much."

I chuckled and said, "All I'm trying to do is graduating at the top of the class, get into a good law firm, and be set for life."

She shook her head jokingly, "Nobody cares if you graduate at the bottom of your class, all people care is that you graduated from Harvard. Anyway, are you going to this rager Stephanie is throwing tonight?"

"Sure, why not?"

Amber looked in my eyes seriously and said, "You should not plan out your life from now. I have a feeling that life has other plans for you that involve something else."

The way she said those words sent a shiver down my spine, like she had written my story herself.
