Chapter 56

AIDEN'S POV

After the blood contract had been signed by everyone, I could feel my bond strengthening with the pack. I could feel the power of an alpha. Power that shouldn't even be mine.

I closed my eyes, and focused on my bond with Sophia. It had also significantly strengthened, and I had to restrain myself from kissing her. 

She smiled at me, and I smiled right back. Callum and Jane arrived, and they pledged themselves to our and the pack's service, for the rest of their life. They also signed the blood contract, sealing the contract for good. 

"It's finally over." Sophia whispered in my ear. 

I hummed, "Yeah. How are you doing?"

"It feels heavy. I can feel the people's expectations from me and that's scary." She said worriedly. 

I comforted her, "Don't worry, after all this is over, you can go back to college."

She hesitated, "I- I don't think I can."

"I'm not pressuring you to make a decision, Soph, but what you do is up to you. Not me, not the pack." I told her seriously, "I basically just pushed you into a life that you weren't prepared for, and I'm sorry."

She looked down, "You didn't push me into anything. I chose to be with you, though I'm seriously regretting that now." She said the last bit jokingly, and I chucked. 

We went back to the pack house, and Sophia was clearly tired from the day's proceedings. All of us had a light snack, and Jane asked Sophia if she wanted to play aquatic volleyball. 

She of course agreed to it, and Callum laughed. I sighed, and led Sophia up to my bedroom. "Are you absolutely, positively sure you want to play?"

She tilted her pretty little head, "Why? What's wrong?"

"You'll see." I said grimly. "You'll have to wear this." I said, opening one of my wardrobes and pulling out a bikini. I had gotten that especially for her, when I went clothes-shopping while she was unconscious. 

"N-No way." She stuttered, "I'll have to wear this?!"
