SOPHIA'S POV

I woke up to someone stroking my cheek. It sent warm tingles in my body, and my wolf, Lucia literally swooned. I opened my eyes and saw Aiden.

I was still not okay with all this, but waking up after shifting brought the world into a new perspective. I just imagined- waking up like this everyday. It would be paradise.

'Penguin.' I said using mind-link. 'How are you now?'

'Fine. You?' He said, and it was like I was hearing his voice for the first time.

My ears perked up, and I realized I was still a wolf. I relaxed my body, and shifted back, and Aiden's ears turned red as he turned away.

"There are clothes in my closet." He said aloud, and that's when I realized I was butt-naked.

My face turned red, as I grabbed the first pair of clothes I lay my hands on. I changed quickly, and Aiden turned to face me again.

"Soph, we need to talk." He said seriously.

I agreed, "Yes."

"Firstly, I wanted to apologise about marking you without your permission I know it's not what you wanted and you're not fine with this and I respect your wishes-"

I cut him off, "It's not that bad. I can live like this."

Relief washed over his face but something still stressed him out, "Next, um, my father wants me to be alpha and you to be luna."

"Not yet, please. I'm still so new to this." I said.

"Hear me out." He said. "We don't have much of a choice. The entire pack knows. It won't be all bad, I promise you! You can buy whatever you want and I won't force you to stop college, you can finish the course in Harvard, if you want."

"I can't, Aiden." I said. "Now it's not about college, it's not about the money. It's not just your family is it? If we get married, which we will have to, my family will also get involved!"

"I'm sure we can figure it out! My dad has good connections, and I'm sure he'll be able to pull some strings..." He trailed off.

"My father can pull all the strings. After all, he's the don of the American mafia." I said bitterly.
