[POV CHANGE | RAYNE]
I walk with clenched fists down the long hallway in front of me, my shoes slightly bloodied after the interrogation I had just conducted on the young Magia Lupus member. My thoughts were racing, my blood still pumping with anger at the sight of my brother being in potential danger as I grumpily move forwards, 'Innocent Zero's Agents are here. No doubt they are concealing their power to hide, but where?'
I pause as I feel an immense pressure approaching me from behind, my head turning to land on a black haired, one-liner. He appeared younger than myself and was wearing the Easton uniform, his robes appearing to be from Adler considering the colouring of them. He seemed to be muttering about nutrition as he chews on a creampuff held in his hand, two bracelets appearing on that same hand but the two in different sizes, and my mind was reeling as I watched him carefully,
'That's not magic. But what immense pressure...he's...' I turn around fully to watch him completely, my wand slipping into my hand from my robes as he mutters through his chewing, "Need to hurry." I direct my wand downwards as I speak up, the boy noticing my appearance as I do so, "I'm short on time. I'll make this investigation quick."
"What? Oh?" He shifts slightly, watching me carefully as I summon my spider shaped, magic detecting creature. "This creature will judge your true magic power. That'll tell me if you're really a student or not." My words were sharp as I pointed at the creature with my wand, the boy in front of my staring blankly between the both of us, "Uh..."
"These eight legs of mine have tallied the power of thousands of magic users." The spider let's out it's own voice, wiggling it's tiny legs as it continues, "If you're a regular magic user, Master Rayne will let you scuttle by." The promising tone of voice used by the spider makes the boy before me mutter slightly, eyeing the creature with a stoic expression, "But..."
Without a moment of hesitation, I shoot out one of my swords to the boy, eyes widening as he catches the tip between two fingers with swift movements. The force sends him sliding backwards, the ground spraying upwards as he remains firm in his stance. "Excuse me, what are you doing?"
His question was straight to the point as he looked at me curiously, his next words a straight to the point warning, his expression deadpan, "That's pretty dangerous. Stranger danger." I twitch slightly as I stare at the boy, my mind questioning his actions, 'Did he...use any magic at all?' My question provides an answer through the spider creature at my side, the numbers in its eyes all turning to zeroes.
'He's not registering on the Arachnabus.' I narrow my eyes slightly as it speaks slowly from beside me, "Z-Zero... No, no, no, I miscalculated. A bug in the system, that's all." I narrow my eyes slightly further, eyeing the boy as another question runs through my mind, 'Could he be...? Three Percent Partisan!' I chant the spell in my mind, lifting up my wand and shooting forth eight more large swords.
They shoot at him rapidly, clunking noises coming from the blurry visage of sword and person until the chaos clears. My eye twitching as they land on the boy using the weapons as a chair. 'He made a chair out of my partisans...' "It can't be." The Arachnabus forgoes it's usual puns, the spider creature staring at the boy in both shock and awe, my mind reeling at its words, 'The Arachnabus is in emotional distress, it's even stopped using spider puns... He's really not using magic, he can't be part of Innocent Zeros group...but...'
I almost lift my wand once more before the boys voice rings out again, annoyance displayed in his gold coloured eyes, "I'm getting miffed." I let out a small sigh, promising to the boy, "Just one more test. Ten Percent Partisan!" I let out my spell, sensing the shock from the spider next to me as my own surprise swells at the boy preparing a bunting stance. The flurry of swords that fly at him all get stopped with his stance, the weapons falling to the ground around him in slightly messy pile.
