[POV CHANGE | KAT]
I let out a long and exhausted sigh, feeling like I have been doing that for most of the day as I stagger slightly with my steps. It has been a long and confusing journey today, beginning with the court and now nearly ending with a brief peck from Rayne, a conversation with an elitist and another one with an interesting individual.
I was dragging my feet slightly as I moved, my head aching as I finally reach the exit for Adler Dorms. I shiver slightly as a wind blows through, my feet stopping with another sigh escaping me as a lightweight book lands at my feet, a disgruntled shout coming from a short distance away.
I bend over to pick up the object, my right eye scanning it and recognizing it to be a source material book, my body straightening as I look around for the potential owner. I land my sight on a nearly familiar looking boy, the individual appearing slightly hesitant as he remains a brief distance away. "Is this yours?" My question appears to make him jump, my hand holding up the source material as I turn my body to face his direction.
A noise escapes the boy as he nods, his steps coming up to me slowly as I recognize his Lang uniform and slowly begin to recall who the individual might be. "Oh...are you a member of the Magia Lupus?" The question makes him jump once more, the boy nodding as he opens his mouth to speak, the sound coming out smoothly,
"Yes, I am the Third Fang of the Magia Lupus, Wirth Madl." My eyes twitches at the last name, another sigh leaving me as I hand him the book once he was a closer range to me. "Any relation to that Divine Visionary?" He appears to growl slightly at that, my curiosity reeling at the reaction as he lets out a sigh of his own, "So what? Going to ask me for his autograph?"
His remark was snarky, the attitude prompting me to chuckle slightly as I answer him with a smile, "Absolutely not. If I wanted one, I could've asked him for it when I broke his wrist." His eyes widen at that, his sunglasses slipping down his face slightly as he watches me carefully after those words, a faint smirk spreading across his face as he begins to realize what the words I spoke fully meant.
"Hah! He must've hated that! What a riot!" He began laughing at the thought, his smirk growing deeper into a smile as if relishing the thought of the Visionary getting injured by a female. "Man, if only I could accomplish something like that." The last few words were muttered absentmindedly as he slows his laughter, his eyes remaining on me as I hum slightly.
"Well, I was only able to because I caught him off guard. I doubt it would be easy to do it again." My comment makes him nod, the boy acknowledging my words with a hum as he taps the source material in his right against the other. "That's my older brother for ya. Always perfect, always the best. The second most annoying individual I know." His words were spoken with a hint of hatred, yet also had a hidden tune of respect for the individual in question, my mind recognizing his desire to surpass the older Madl.
The silence between us grows slightly, the lack of conversation oddly comforting as we remain standing still in front of each other. "You were heading back to your dorm, right?" The question was sudden, my response returning as a silent nod as I briefly glance at the arching gateway that leads to Adler Dorm.
The security looked lax despite the foggy mist that covers the entrance of the gate, the barrier being the source used to prevent other Dorms from invading Adler as it wraps itself creepily around the arches. If someone from another Dorm attempted to enter through this barrier, even if dawning the Adler Robes, they would be sent back to their Dorms gateway, unable to cross through to come into Adler. Quite effective magic on the object, in my opinion.
I move my gaze back to Wirth, the boy keeping his eyes on me before he manages out the words he has been holding back, "My apologies for kidnapping you with the rest of the Magia Lupus." The sudden apology makes me chuckle,.a small grin appearing on my lips as I take in the words carefully, "Right...I've already forgiven all of that, although I'm not particularly happy that people I cared for got harmed, I can understand why what happened had happened."
I connect our eyes together with my words, his expression tense as he considers my response carefully, while also looking embarrassed for actually apologizing for the deeds he had committed previously. "I'll most likely see you around then, Wirth-senpai." I comment once more as I move closer to the gate, letting out a few more words before I disappear through the passageway,
"You're definitely superior to your brother for at least apologizing and recognizing your wrongdoing, alright?"
[POV CHANGE | WIRTH MADL]
I stiffen at her words, the apology that left my mouth not one I had considered saying before I spoke to the girl today. Her last encouraging statement echoing in my head as I continue to stare at where her figure once was, mind reeling as I begin walking past the Adler gateway, my feet slowly guiding me to the library as my thoughts get enveloped by the beautiful strawberry blonde Adler.
I could guess why Lord Abel and Abyss seemed to be protective over the girl, the leader giving a subtle order to keep a watchful and protective eye on the female after their celebratory tea party the other day. I was confused at first, as to why the strongest members of my dorm seemed so enraptured by a magic-less individual, but after having that brief conversation made me slightly understand.
I couldn't fully yet, I knew that, but considering how she so firmly told me that she considered me better than my brother in at least one way made my heart soar, the thought that the female also managed to break his wrist caught my attention even more, seeing as he's usually so far out of reach. At most my curiosity has spiked toward the female, a small grin forming on my face as I continued to play back the compliment and subtle jab toward my brother in my mind.
QUICK AUTHOR'S NOTE:
I'm going to be attempting to write a little more original content filled chapters before the Visionary exam arc, just so that we can really see more interactions between love interests so that it's not just a sudden, "Oh yeah, they're together now," because I feel like right now that mostly works out for Mash, maybe even Lemon, and I know that everyone has their preferences on who they want Kat to be with so I want to have the ending options make sense, if that makes sense.
Also, I have no idea how their dormitory system actually works as it never really gets fully explained in the anime or manga, just that the dorm members don't know where the other dorms are except their own and how they got sorted into their dorm, so I hope this whole gateway thing makes sense and works out.
Anyways, thank you all so much for reading this story! I appreciate all the likes and comments given and I hope that y'all are enjoying reading this story as much as I am writing it if not more~!
Kiss scene is coming up soon 🤭
