[POV CHANGE | THIRD PERSON POV]

Mash stands in front of Finn, Lance and Dot in his dorm room with a blank expression, his mind still lingering on the idea that he had just left Kat with one of the Divine Visionaries. He felt that he could trust the male, but his chest still felt tight despite the trust he felt towards the second-year. He returns his thoughts back to the situation before him, his voice coming out dull as he speaks, "And that's what happened."

Finn twitches slightly as he processes the words coming from the boy, his voice coming out timidly as he responds, "Now you're embroiled with that dangerous group?" A hum was given in response as Lance questions next, "Wait, you and Kat both can't use magic?" Another hum with a nod was given in lieu of a reply, Dot piping up next with a look of determination across his face,

"Got it. We need to have some fun."

[POV CHANGE | FINN AMES]

I stand within mine and Mash's shared room, Lance and Dot still remaining inside as Mash sits on the edge of his bed silently. The room has gone quiet after we agreed to spending a day out of the dorms, the four of us waiting for the arrival of a certain strawberry blonde before we finalize on any details.

A knock on the door snaps me out of my thinking, Mash already risen to open the door, the action revealing Kat in all her beauty. "I'm back." She gave a little wave as she gifted the room a smile, her expression tense slightly as her fingers twitch, obviously missing the weight of her brother's hand in her own.

"Did you already share the details?" Her question is sent towards Mash, the boy nodding as she enters the room slowly, soon planting herself on the black haired boy's bed. I bite my bottom lip at the sight, my chest clenching as I try to ignore the jealous feeling creeping up. "We were actually discussing going to the city."

My words make her ponder silently for a moment, her hands clasping together as she shuffles slightly in her spot an embarrassed flush going across her cheeks. "Ah...well...I...don't like crowded spaces." The mummer leaves her lips like a soft whisper, the embarrassed and frightful look exposing her feelings to the four of us around her. The room gains a heavy silence as we watch the girl helplessly, my heart building courage as I stand from my spot quickly,

"You won't be alone. We'll be with you every step of the way!" The words came out of my mouth before I could stop them, my own face flushing with embarrassment as I take a few steps toward the girl. "So, why don't we go out and have some fun?" I try to ignore the glaringly jealous stares from my friends around me, the girl letting out a soft giggle as she nods in agreement to the invitation, her voice coming out like a melody, "If...if I'm with all of you...I'm sure it'll be fine."

~~Marchétte Street~~

I stand alone in a crowded street, my back facing a brick wall as I look around the space curiously, my voice coming out in an absentminded mutter, "Dot must've suggested this for Mash and Kat's sake. I guess taking it easy is better than sulking..." I sigh softly as I recall the frightful expression on the strawberry blonde's face, my voice coming out once more as I glance up briefly to the sky, "I wonder how everyone dresses outside of school."

"I'm here!" The voice of Dot reaches my ears quickly, my head turning only for my excited expression to drop at the sight of the male in full-plate armor, the words coming out with a tone of disbelief, "Full-plate armor?!" I hear a laugh come from the boy within the suit, the male lifting the visor up to respond confidently, "Fun's just another kind of battle!"

'What does that even mean?!' I scream mentally as Mash's voice breaks through, "We're here." I turn as I mutter out softly, "That would be Mash and Kat....and he's in full workout mode!" I glance over slightly to see the embarrassed expression placed on Kat's face, my yellow eyes scanning her and taking note of the normal clothing the girl adorned. "I've never gone out with friends before. I wasn't sure what to wear."

Mash spoke casually as he continued to work out, Kat approaching me slowly as she let's out a small sigh, her hands getting placed in her jacket pockets, "But...I told you it wouldn't be exercise clothing..." Her words are muttered as she plants herself beside me, her right eye watching the two boys in front of us. "Why did you bring an ab wheel?" I question halfheartedly as I eye the two, my mind spinning as I think in disdain, 'I don't wanna be seen with these two...at least Kat is wearing something normal...'

I glance beside me slowly to take in the girl's attire, a black skirt with black tights going up her legs with a white blouse underneath an oversized black jacket. I mutter out softly at the sight of the girl, my voice only being heard by the girl as it comes out, "You look really pretty." She laughs softly at my words, a cute smile spreading across her lips as she gifts me words of appreciation, "Thank you, Finn! You look nice too!"

"Sorry I'm late." Lance's voice comes out at that moment, Kat and I turning to look at the blue haired boy as he approaches, relief filling me as I begin to hope for normalcy from the boy, disappointment flooding my face as he opens his button up shirt to reveal one with his sisters face printed upon it. "Love."

"Cringe!" I shout at the sight, Kat stifling her laughter with her hand as she watches the three continue their ridiculous antics. "Alright, boys, go on and get changed properly." She manages out after a cough, the smile never leaving her face as the three give nods of agreement.

We stand side by side as we wait for the three to return, the girl placing herself close to me as we watch the passing crowd. "Gazzy wasn't allowed to come...they didn't want anything to happen during our outing." She speaks up slowly from beside me, my eyes landing on her as I take her words in. "He was upset...but I promised to get him a souvenir, hopefully he can forgive me for not bringing him."

My fingers twitch as I listen in, happiness filling me at the thought of her comfortableness in confiding in me. "I'm sure we can find something he will enjoy." I offer, a smile crossing my face as she moves her gaze onto me, gifting me one in return. "You know...I never usually acted this way with people. Back with the Flock...we were always on the run or in hiding, and Max was usually pretty strict about it.

"I've never felt so happy before...even with all the bad stuff going on." My eyes were wide as she speaks, my right hand moving towards her left hesitantly as she does. Our fingers brush slightly, the contact making us both shudder slightly, as I attempt to enclose my hand around her own. She watches me carefully as I do so, her hand unmoving as she accepts the connecting of our hands.

I jump once Dot's loud voice reaches out through the crowd, my cheeks flushing a pink as I hesitantly pull my hand back from holding on to Kat's, "We're back!" She lets out a soft laugh at my action, the girl grasping my hand confidently to pull my toward the three approaching us both.

"Shall we get going then?"
