[THIRD PERSON POV]

The two battling teens remained steady on their feet as they eyed each other down, the crowd watching them remaining in their shocked uproar as Kaldo narrows his eyes at the scene, connecting each movement within his mind, 'Margarette used a note to cushion their fall before they hit the ground.' He holds back a sigh as he quirks up an eyebrow as he recalls Mash's previous declaration,

'Also...is no one going to call out Mushroom Head on naming a throw like a magic spell?' As if on a set cue, people began muttering to each other once more, the words prompting Kat to hold back a small laugh as she hears their assumptions with amusement, "Woah, I've never heard of spine magic before." One commenter mused, another speaking up in surprise, "I thought he couldn't use magic."

Without a care towards the musings of the watching crowd, the two teens below kept up with their battle, Margarette continuing to shoot basic magic spells towards Mash, as the first-year dodges each attack seamlessly. He finally got close to make a punch when the Prefect turns, their wand pointing directly at the black haired boy's eyes. "Uh-oh! A spell like that at point blank range is gonna...huh?"

Dot was beginning to panic until he noticed the lack of magic being shot towards Mash, Finn and Dot watching with obvious shock as they both exclaim, "They stopped! | But why?" Kat blinks slightly at the sight, shifting in her spot next to Lance, who gifts her a brief look before shifting his gaze back to the arena below, where Margarette speaks up to their opponent,

"You're attempting to guard something." The sudden observation prompts Mash to pull out a creampuff from his robes, the Prefect pursing their lips slightly as they comment, "We cannot fight our utmost with something so special to you on the line. Set it aside." They were calm as they spoke, a female approaching the pair nervously with a tray in her hands, Mash gently placing the sweet treat onto it while he comments slowly,

"I didn't know you had a chivalrous side." Margarette smirks at the comment before muttering back, "Hardly...it's only to some." They flickered their gaze slightly to the stands behind them, Mash following the gaze and landing his own on his best friend, Kat appearing to be laughing at the exchange as the announcer shouts halfheartedly, "Amazing! Check out that back and forth! It's got me on edge!"

Mash narrows his eyes slightly at the brief action of the third year in front of him, the crowd watching remaining silent save for Dot, Finn and Kat, Lance beside them offering out a sigh as the three speak simultaneously, "What was that conversation even about? | Yikes, I want those wasted seconds back. | I-I've told him not to keep those in his robes." The girl was snickering as she spoke, Lance gifting her another glance as he, too, noticed the gaze Margarette Macaron sent her way.

He shakes his head as he lets his thoughts return to the fight below, noting the third year having quickly returned their gaze to Mash, 'Neither of them are going all out. They're still testing each other...although, with that look just then...Mash will certainly do something about it.' Kaldo purses his own lips a distance away, still standing near Headmaster Wahlberg and Gazzy as he peered down at the exchange below, his own thoughts remaining calm,

'Margarette's Secondth puts them a step ahead. If either of them so chooses, they could end this...in an instant.' He lets out an inaudible hum as Margarette lifts their wand once more, eyes remaining trained on Mash as they note the protective glint within his eyes, "Now, let us enjoy ourselves...Mash Burnedead." They watch as Mash lifts his arms up, hands tightly clenched into fists as they recognize the defensive tone in the boy's words as he speaks one word, "Kay."

They remain in their stances as Margarette begins to speak once more, "Do show me what you're capable of...Sounds Fa!" Their sentence ended with a spell, a fist made out of musical notes being shot towards Mash quickly, the boy punching forward only for his strike to phase through the magically formed fist, his ears popping violently as blood spurts from the canals, his eyes widened slightly as Margarette speaks once more,
