[THIRD PERSON POV]

"I wouldn't attack if I were you." Margarette's voice comes out with a warning, their gaze slightly bored as they continue to speak to the Visionary in front of them, "They'll explode in response to your casting." They hum slightly as they watch the dual haired coloured boy, the teen in question remaining still and impassive as the prefect speaks up once more,

"Rayne Ames...do you know why we desire stimulation?" The question was met with silence, Macaron continuing despite the lack of response, "Art, love, sports, drinking, drugs, gambling...none of these are necessary to live a normal life. So why seek them?" They pause for a brief moment, noting how the Visionary winces on the second word of their spiel, Margarette continuing, "It's simple. Because boredom is death. We live our lives in pursuit of that rush."

They rub their forehead slightly, ignoring the way Rayne raises his brow once again, the boy seeming to question the other teen in front of him as they continue to stand off against each other. Margarette speaks up once more, eyes remaining bored and dull as they eye Rayne in front of them, "But you...you're awfully easygoing, meddling in other's business.

"You bore me, I can't imagine someone like you could ever fulfill me. Be a dear and move aside, will you? I've just got to see Mash Burnedead and Kat Ride." They watch as Rayne's expression darkens, the Visionary flinching once more when the girl's name is used, Macaron noting the reaction with slight surprise as they realize the interest the boy has for the girl.

Rayne speaks up softly, his tone neutral as his voice comes out into the field, "He's a brazen kid. Brazen enough to tell me...he wants to change this world's views." His words take a pause as his gaze turns into a glare, a powerful force taking up the space as his mood shifts and his voice comes out, "And she...has the courage to keep standing, to keep going...despite the tortures she has had to endure."

Macaron staggers slightly as they watch the display anxiously, their mind reeling as thoughts take hold in their mind, 'His mood shifted...??? And what does he mean...by tortures...?'

Headmaster Wahlberg sits in his usual spot within the school's large conference room, a boy standing on the floor before him with an anxious look on his features, his expression frightened as his curly hair ruffles due to his anxious shouting, "Margarette Macaron is as famous as Lord Rayne himself! They're both known far and wide! Only, Margarette wasn't interested in becoming a Divine Visionary, despite having the skills. Lord Rayne won't be walking away from this unharmed."

Wahlberg laughs slightly at the anxious words of the boy before him, the older gentleman speaking up with a kind and understanding tone, "Hohoho, Rayne may act aloof, but he's always been one to take care of others." The man hums slightly as he leans back into his seat, his position comfortable as he questions the boy in front of him, "By the way, Nerey...what do you know about marks?"

Nerey shifts slightly at the sudden question, the boy hesitating slightly before responding slowly to the older man, "Uh...I believe the number of lines increases in accordance with your absolute magic power." Wahlberg nods slowly in response, speaking up to explain further to the boy the meaning of his question, "Yes... Easton is a school centuries old. We've had many double-liners cross our step, but an extremely small number of triple-liners.

"If two lines means magic itself recognizes their talent...then those with three lines must be chosen by God. And the youngest to every acquire three lines is..." His voice trails off as Nerey watches him in shock, the battle nearby Mash and Regro's home continuing as Margarette sheds tears at the sight before them, muttering softly as they watch a third mark appear on Rayne Ames face, "The summer...of bliss..." Wahlberg finishes his statement at that moment, hands cupped around his mouth as he stares down at the boy on the floor, "Rayne Ames."

Rayne glares forward as he finishes his thoughts out loud, expression cold as his voice comes out blunt, "I'll make sure that brazen kid and that courageous girl...goes as far as they can go.

"It's discovered you can't use magic. Game over." Mash mutters out his characters fate once more, a small pout forming on his lips as his friends around him watch the boy carefully. Dot speaks up tiredly at the result, his expression sour as his voice comes out, "That's twice now..." Lemon continuing with an encouraging gesture as she attempts to comfort the boy, "Buck up, Mash..."

"He can't get past that square." Lance observes, glaring down at the board as Finn pipes up beside the blue haired boy, "I didn't know there were game overs in this game." Kat letting out a sigh as she prepares to reach out a comforting hand to Mash, the boy standing before she could make contact. "I'm gonna step outside for a minute."

She watches his carefully as he leaves the house, her right eye swimming with grief as she hears her friends comments from beside her, "Mash... | Oh, Mash..." Dot's voice speaks out first after his initial muttering of the boy's name, "He acts cool, but it must be eating him up inside." Finn speaking up next as his eyes remain on the door, "Of course it is...he's innocent in all this." Lemon piping up as she voices her own concern, "If I were in his shoes, I would blame society..."

Kat stands up slowly after those words, gifting the three a small smile as she begins to step forward, "I'm gonna go check on him, I'll be right back." Her friends watch as she leaves the house next, Lance muttering out his words softly, "She must also be feeling pretty down...are they okay?"

Kat steps out of the house with a deep sigh, her head lifting upward as she begins to move down the steps in front of her, she was quick as she began to move, the girl jumping upward after a fast run to snap out her wings, pressing down hard to lift off from the ground and search for the boy from the sky. She flies a good distance away from the house before her eyes land on the black haired boy, Mash holding a large cream puff within his hands as she soon lands behind him.

He turns at the sound, his eyes widening as he takes in the beautiful looking figure of the girl, mind briefly mistaking her for an angel. "Ah...Kat..." She gifts him a small smile, letting out a relieved sigh as she folds her wings back in, "I was worried...I should've known you just wanted to eat your special cream puff in peace." She moves closer to the boy with her words, Mash shifting slightly as he holds the cream puff close to his chest.

"Well, I have been looking forward to it." She nods, another sigh escaping her lips as she watches the boy carefully. He tenses slightly under her gaze, stepping closer to her slowly until the tips of their shoes were touching. He still had the cream puff in his hands, but his eyes remained solely on the girl in front of him, gaze flickering ever so slightly to the lips of the girl.

She flinches slightly but makes no effort to move, curiosity overpowering her usually controllable mind and actions. He leans his head forward slight, his black hair brushing against her forehead as he presses their heads together, breath fanning over each other's faces as the girl tenses further. A sound nearby makes them both jump, snapping the girl to her senses as she backs away from the boy, eyes narrowing as she looks around her carefully.

Mash attempts to hide the disappointment that flickers in his eyes, taking note of the pink flushing on the girl's cheeks as her gaze flickers swiftly from him to another spot nearby. "Hmm?" She hums slightly, moving to hide behind a tree and gesturing for the black haired boy to follow, Mash hiding his cream puff into his robes once more.

He feels her shiver as he hides beside her, eyes landing on the two dualing individuals and heart clenching as he hears the admiration in the girl's tone when she mutters the name of one of the four people in the clearing,

"It's Rayne..."
