[POV CHANGE | MASH]
Eleven O'clock, after lights out.
I walk beside Lance, my mind still racing as I move forward with him. I had questions about what we were doing but I couldn't focus quite well as I though about the bracelets dangling on both of our wrists, my mind racing with thoughts of how the others reacted to this gift. Were they similar reactions or were they more low-key and calm? I couldn't wrap my head around it. I knew that I was dense and didn't always get certain things but when it came to Kat, I seemed to get it instinctually.
I noticed how the others acted, that the other four liked her and that there could be others who did too, it wasn't impossible to think about, but it made me upset at the same time. I wanted her to be happy, happy with whoever and whatever she chooses, but a part of me couldn't help but worry and be bitter at the thought of it not being me. It was frustrating and it wasn't something that I could just punch or kick away, I had to face it. Unfortunately.
I let out an internal sigh as I shake my thoughts away, my eyes glancing over at Lance who began to speak his mind, "I'm sure the Magia Lupus are behind these events. What I think is..." I narrow my eyes slightly as I listen, my head tilting to its side as Lance glances over to me as he trails off, my words escaping with a question as we make eye contact, "Should we really be walking around after hours?"
My question gets a sigh in response, the boy deadpanning as he responds bluntly, "You're such a straight arrow." At that moment, Dot and Finn speak up loudly from behind me, their voices managing to echo down the halls as we walk along, "If we're caught, we'll just apologize! | I'm scared to be alone!!!" I could see the annoyance spread across Lance's face as he looks at the two, his voice tight as he questions, "Why are you two here?"
"Cause I want the coins, ya moron! | I don't want to be in that room all alone!" Their voice combine once more, one fearful and the other attempting to be intimidating as Dot flips off the blue haired boy, trying to appear confident. "I feel bad for them. Let's take them with us." My words are met with a blank stare from Lance, the boy's eyes growing with annoyance and disbelief as he could only force himself to agree just as Dot calls out, "Hey! See that!"
Our attention gets moved to see two familiar female figures walking strangely down the hall, their steps in sync as Dot then makes another comment, "It's Lemon and Kat. They're cute from every angle." The three of us make a face at his comment, my hands clenching as he then begins to try to call out to the girls, "Lem-!" His mouth gets covered quickly by Lance's hand, the blue haired boys voice coming out quickly, "Wait. Something's wrong."
Just as his words came out their body's began moving in a rapid and strange manner, Finn making a startled sound which prompted both of their heads to turn our way, something slipping from Kat's robes and falling to the ground at that moment. My attention was solely on her before they kept moving again, my ears barely catching Dot's disturbing comment, "It's not fair... How can they still look good without any eyes? Just what kind of stuff am I into?"
[POV CHANGE | FINN]
I chew on my bottom lip after making a face at Dot's comment, my hands clenching and unclenching as I peer my head around the corner again. My whole body was trembling with anxiety, but I couldn't just let something bad happen to my two friends. I barely paid attention as Lance commented something about it being magic, my eyes still firmly set on Kat and Lemon as they moved down the hall in a bizarre manner.
"Wait...they're going somewhere." I comment absentmindedly as they moved down the hall, their figures moving quickly as if in a rush to finish their journey. "After them!" Mash responded swiftly, our steps beginning to go after them but my eyes faintly catch the black haired boy picking up the object that had fallen to the ground. It looked like a plush cream puff, a red bow tied on it's head as he then stuffed it into his robes, taking it with.
"They turned that way!" I call out, pointing down a corridor past another wall, all four of us rounding the corner only for us to see that neither one of them was present.
[POV CHANGE | THIRD PERSON]
The four teenagers stand anxiously in the empty space, their heads on a swivel as they failed to catch sight of the two girls. Lance could feel the frustration building within him at the thought of failing to protect another person he holds dear, his hands clenching into fists as his teeth meets his bottom lip. His eyes were narrowed and fierce as he tried to peer throughout the dark hallway, hoping to see a random door just as Finn makes a small sound.
"They're gone." Mash's comment was grounded out with frustration as he stared at the dead end, Dot shouting out in anger, "How the hell does that work?! It's a dead end!" Unheard by anyone else but Finn a clicking sound seemed to echo, the dual colour haired boy making a shaky comment, "Did...did anyone hear that?" His question went by barely noticed, Dot only throwing out that he didn't hear anything until the black-blonde haired boy hears it once more, "I definitely heard something! Like the sound of wood creaking!"
His panic seemed to settle into Dot, the behavior appearing to be contagious as the red head begins shouting, "Don't be spouting that bull... Damn it, now I hear it too. Oh man, kill me now!" He cries, his voice echoing around the corridor as both he and Finn begin crying. "Stay calm, it's just a spell." Lance comments casually, raising up his wand as he casts a spell with a calm demeanor, "Disclose."
The spell quickly flourished, a closed wooden door soon appearing on the stone floor with several magical runes appearing on the edges. "What the..." Dot lets out a comment, his eyes wide as they stare at the wooden door on the floor. "Revealing the door was the limit of my magic." Lance comments out, his eyes flowing with disappointment as he stares at the object.
"Then we need another spell to open it." The comment comes from Finn as Dot points his wand at the door, spells shooting out as he complains, "Damn thing won't budge! How're we supposed to break in?!" Mash remains silent as he goes to pick up a suit of armor, placing it down right in front of the door then setting the sword into a the small gap on the surface. With one quick and heavy slam, he stomps directly down on the sword and flings the door open with that strength.
"He actually pried it open."
"Well yeah, dude, it's Mash."The two comments from Finn and Dot are stated as they stare at the ceiling, the wooden door having slammed directly into it. The quartet stares directly down at the steps leading far below, anger flickering in Mash's eyes as he faintly hears Lance comment beside him, "Kat and Lemon are in here...along with the Magia Lupus."
Mash's eyes glance down to the bracelet on his wrist, his mind flashing to the day before, "I want you to be safe, Mash, please...don't do anything reckless." Unknown to him the other three were having similar thoughts, the three fiddling with their own bracelets as they stare at the steps.
"I'm sorry...I'm gonna have to take the risk."
