museum chaos.

( heyo readers! so this fic needs a little bit of an explanation if you're not a resident of new mexico/ have absolutely no knowledge of the explora children's museum in ABQ new mexico. so first of all the orginal multiverse that my au version of the gorillaz lived in is refered to as memory!tale. memory!tale is based on my home state and home city of ABQ new mexico. more specificlly it's heavily based on my childhood/ early 2000s and early 2010s memories of the city. the explora is a real museum here where everything in it is made purposely for kids to play with and be able to well...explore and touch. it's an absolutely massive museum and if you have never seen photos of it before i suggest looking it up. anyways just thought id briefly clear up any confusion for my non- new mexican natives here :D! alrighty let me stop chatting your ear off so you may enjoy this goofy little fic!)

      It was a very hot day in memory!tale. The band were piled up in the car to go on an adventure out of the house. Noodle was excitedly hopping up and down on her seat. " Woooo, we're going to the explora! I get to play with water and bubbles! " Russell would chuckle as he looked in the backseat. "What do you want to do first kiddo? " noodle would think about it . "I wanna go play in the water! I wanna get soaked like last time! " murdoc would slightly cringe as he blurts out. " where drying you off before you get in my car this time! The last time we went here you made my car into a bloody swimming pool! " Everyone would chuckle in the car as they reminisced on one of the many disastrous messes that this piece of junk of a car has seen.

Once the family parked at the explora noodle would rush in with 2d running after her . an employee at the front desk would nearly drop someone's credit card as the two siblings had their fun. Russell and Murdoc would run in out of breath. They're both getting too old for this shit. Russell would walk over to the employee as he apologized for 2d and noodle. " Sorry about them. My daughter bolted out of are car and her brother went to go get her. " the employee would give their calmest smile. "Oh it's no problem sir. Kids are always excited to come and play around. It's understandable. " Russell would nod to the very understanding young man at the desk and pay for everyone in their group before him and Murdoc walk in to see what chaos 2d and noodle are starting.

Due to it being a weekday besides the four band members there were very few other people. They pretty much had the whole explora to themselves. After a bit of walking and admiring the uniqueness of this museum russell and murdoc would find 2d and noodle. Noodle had gotten 2d to chase her to the massive water ball track already getting a track set up while 2d would hold the little plastic balls back. Russell would chuckle as he joked with 2d. " She gave you the boring job again? " Noodle would look up at her dad. " 2d will get a turn to! I get to go first though! " Murdoc would smirk as he walked over, deciding to mess with his niece. He finds one of the loose balls that 2d doesn't have and flings it into the water making it splash on noodle's face. She would quickly look up at her uncle. " Uncle Murdoc, that was mean! " murdoc would give a snarky smirk as he teased his niece. " what are you- HEY! RUSS YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE ON MY SIDE! "

Russell would rush over to noodle's side and use his hands to make a huge wave of water that splashes all over murdoc's worn to hell ACDC from when he was a teenager. Noodle giggled as she watched Murdoc give Russell a face of pure shock. " COME ON DAD AND 2D! LET'S GET UNCLE MURDOC! " 2d would smirk as he used the balls to fling at murdoc while noodle and russell continued to splash the very cold water all over murdoc getting him soaked. He chuckled as he playfully fell onto the ground. " I BLOODY SURRENDER! STOP PELTING ME WITH WATER- I SAID I SURRENDERED STU! " 2d would quickly use a small cup from another water display and splash the water on Murdoc's head. "There now your hair looks like it got cleaned- HEY! RUSSELL HELP- " murdoc would quickly grab onto 2d's leg trying to get 2d on the ground with him. Russell would quickly walk over putting his foot gently on Murdoc's stomach while looking at Noodle who's a giggling mess watching her family being bigger kids then she's . " Let 2d go or I'm making sure 2d gets revenge on you with the bubbles so you're all sticky when we get home- WOAH! "Russell quickly holds onto the water table as Murdoc gets up and lets go of 2d. " OH BLOODY HELL NO I'M NOT LETTING YOU COVER ME IN BUBBLE GOO! " The family was in absolute hysterics, already having a blast even if they had only done one activity so far.
