Omniscient

A satin baby pink dress hugged at her curves while flowing past her knees, stopping just below them. The droop of the material near her breasts complimented the single silver necklace at the center of her chest. Her hair, now cut short with a body wave curl, was parted to the side, allowing a left rhinestone earring to peek in front. Sitting on the bench at the foot of their bed, Milan clasped her silver Louis Vuitton heel.

Just then, her head glimpsed up as Noah walked from the bathroom with a subtle strut. It had Milan's breath hitch as her eyes fell upon the woman from head to toe, watching as she hastened into her closet while fixing her earring.

In contrast to Milan's light and flowy nighttime look, Noah's outfit resembled one of a black cat with piercing emerald eyes.

Her strapless, plum violet, maxi dress was a monotone floral with the flowers subtly outlined in a suede material against the mesh underlayer. It stopped at her ankles, fitting her thin yet toned figure like a glove. And the way she walked in it left Milan hardly able to stop staring, simply stunned and transfixed.

"Baby I feel like I should change-" Noah rambled while going from her closet back into the bathroom, absentminded to her girlfriend's captivated stare.

"Should I change?? Maybe to pants, or jeans? Is this too much? Or too little?? Via wasn't exactly specific with what type of formal we're doing-" Once she came to the door frame, her attention finally focused on Milan, taken aback by the stare she was receiving. "What?" Noah chuckled.

It was the older woman's turn to let her eyes soak in her lover's appearance from head to toe once Milan stood from the bench. Their eyes met again as she walked up to her, getting closer.

"Don't change," Milan decided to say, instead of the million other things she'd been thinking. "You look beautiful, as always..."

Now smiling through a sheepish exhale, Noah tilted her head in response. Then she took Milan's hand to bring to her lips. "So do you," she spoke softly.

Just as the two found themselves about to get wondrously lost within each other's eyes, their heads turned upon a phone ringing. With a squeeze to Noah's hand, Milan gave an air kiss to her before stepping away. Across the screen, on her phone that laid on their bed, was her sister's face.

"It's Via," she announced before picking the phone up to place to her ear. "You've reached Milan's voicemail- please leave a message at the tone."

"You're such an ass," Via said, having Milan snicker as Noah chuckled while adjusting her black shoulder bag. "Ryan and I are leaving the apartment now, are you two ready?"

"Yeah we're about to leave," she replied while being handed her handbag then following Noah out of their bedroom. "You made the reservation right?"

"Yeah- at 8:30."

"We're about ten minutes away," Noah said to Milan as they walked downstairs. "Fifteen to twenty if there's traffic."

"Noah says we're about fifteen minutes away," Milan then informed her sister.

"Kay kayy I'll see you there- love you, bye."

"Love you bye," the woman said quickly before hanging up with a sigh. "Babe, is this the place we went to a few months back? The one by the water?"

"Siena Tavern?"

Her finger snapped as they entered the garage. "That's the one- oh my gosh I loved their calamariii," Milan cheesed with excitement, getting inside Noah's black Audi. "And their cheesecakeee!"
