Morning's have become my ultimate favorite nowadays. Especially the morning after.

I can never decide which I love most. Warmth from the sun peeking through the windows, laying sweet featherlight kisses to her shoulder and mine... Our bodies nearly merged as one, for not one article of clothing was separating us...Watching her sleep before her eyes fluttered open, giving me that sheepish look that never failed to melt my insides... Or the shared intimate silence, as we basked in the remnants of the night before...

Inhibitions and self control afloat as our hands, our movements, and our moans gracefully intertwined.

Though right now, the top of the list was definitely waking up to every inch of my skin being kissed ever so softly, with her lips migrating up my bare back. A raspiness laced my voice as soft laughter seeped through the serene smile creeping along my lips.

"I'm sorry baby-" I could feel the smirk accompanying her words as her lips curved around to my ear. "Did I wake you?"

"Hm, maybe..." My smile became a mere beam, feeling her hand sneak across my abdomen, pulling me closer. "You think they'll notice if I don't go in today?"

"Hm let's see..." I imagined her expression playfully pondering as she snuggled up behind me. "Nah, I think you'd get away with it-"

I chuckled. "You think they'll notice if you don't go in today?"

"Now I don't know, you think everyone will notice when the judge doesn't show up to today's hearing?" I giggled, and Noah did the same. "Imagine everyone's seated and there's just an empty chair upfront."

"I'm sure they can run it laissez faire style-"

"Oh please- Aspen and Harris have been at each other's throats this entire case." She and I laughed as I turned within her arms to face her, wearing a bright smile once our eyes met. "Luckily it's not first thing in the morning though."

Her fingers went to comb lightly through my hair, making my eyes shut at the soothing feeling.

"Lyla Harris is the Ethan Jefferson to my Aspen," I chuckled. "Best of luck with that."

"Why thank you," Noah smiled. Then it faded as her eyes wandered. "I have something for you by the way," she then whispered. "A couple of something's actually..."

"This sounds serious-" I sat up a bit, higher on the pillow, and she moved with me, pulling the sheets up. Then her hand found mine to hold. "What is it??"

"It's in the car. I'll give it to you before you go."

"You still haven't told me what it is," I smiled quizzically as she laughed, looking away. "And what other 'somethings?'"

"Just wait and see my love. And as for the others, we have a date Friday night- you'll be finding out then." Noah kissed my hand and rolled out of bed before I could say anything else.

My mouth fell open as I watched her scurry away, into the bathroom. "Oh come on baby, that's too far away!"

"It's two days from now, love," she giggled. "I just wanted to let you know before you could plan anything else. Or did you already?"

"No," I answered while sliding out of bed myself, leaving the sheets disheveled. "Where're we going?"

"Haven't decided yet-" she started the shower. "I was thinking somewhere outdoors maybe, since it's nice out nearly everyday now."

"I'd like that..."

Walking into the bathroom, as it was now filling up with fog and steam, I glanced at myself in the mirror. Nowadays my hips are fuller, as are my thighs and overall frame. And as my eyes fell upon my reflection, scanning myself nude, I could only seem to notice every flaw. Any traces of beauty were lost, somewhere with time.
