"Do, re, mi, fa, so, la, ti, do." I sing while walking around getting warmed up for my last show of my tour. It wasn't just any tour it was my first national tour. I wasn't the opening act like I always was this time around I was the main attraction."Liz." I hear someone say as they knock on my dressing room door.
"Come in." I say as they open the door and I see my mom walk in. "Hey mom." I say with a smile as she returns the same smile.
"The stage manager wanted me to say 10 minutes until show time." She says as she sits on the couch and I follow her. "So before you went up on stage I wanted to give you something that the entire family put together." She says as she hands me a nicely decorated gift.
"Oh my god." I say as I open it up and see it was a collage of pictures from all the great memories I had on this tour. "Thank you." I say giving her a hug.
"Kevin, Joe and Nick are out there with Dani and Demi and they wanted me to say that they are extremely proud of you." My mom says to me as I turn excited. They came once and a while to my shows but for them to be here on the final night made it extra special.
"So I'm performing for a sold out crowd at the Houston Astrodome and my brothers. That doesn't make me nervous at all." I say as my mom smiles at me.
"You're going to be great as usual. I'll let you get back to doing you're vocal exercises." She says as she stands and leaves the room.
Once she's out of the room I look down at the present my mom just gave me and smile. All the pictures had a story behind them. I grew so close to everyone on this tour that everywhere we went we made sure we were having fun but also staying focused. I could not believe it was almost over. Another huge milestone that I will overcome.
I stand up and look at the mirror and observe myself closely.
I look at my hair and fix the curls that my mom did not too long ago. Funny how my hair has to be curled with a curling iron. Curly hair is in my genes and instead I have straight brunette hair instead of the black curly hair that my brothers have.
Maybe it's because I'm a girl. Maybe it's only the guys in our family who got the black curly hair gene.
I got the being musical gene so I guess there's absolutely no question that I'm a Jonas.
I've been questioning that for a while now. How am I a Jonas? I've always felt like I wasn't apart of this family. I feel guilty that I feel this way since to my family I'm the best thing that ever happened and I'm not just saying that, my parents said that once.
I think the only reason why I feel this is because I'm going through that phase. That not a kid but not yet a teen phase. Pre-puberty if you want to give it a name.
No! No! I shouldn't be thinking like this. I am indeed a Jonas!
I'm Elizabeth Destiny Jonas. I was born in Texas. I have 4 older brothers and 2 loving parents. Ever since I could walk and talk they've supported me in my dreams of wanting to be a singer, an actor and a dancer.
I have the best family. They care about me. They take care of me. They're fun and they're everything to me. Sure I don't look like them but most of them are boys and I'm a girl of course I don't look like them.
"Liz c'mon." I hear someone says as they knock on my door making me lose my train of thought.
"Coming." I say as I quickly grab my leather vest that puts my outfit together and run out as am escorted to the main stage.
As I'm standing in the dark, hearing everyone get to there places, and the crowd say my name excitedly my mind goes back to my family. Kevin, Joe, Nick, Frankie and the great memories we've created. My parents, how they go out of their way to help me make my dreams come true.
"You ready?" My stage manager says to me as I nod and I hear my band start playing and soon I was coming out on stage making the entire crowd go insane.
