NORMAL POV

"How was that?" Liz asks her brother Joe as she walks out of the recording booth where she just finished recording a very emotional song.

"It was great but are you sure it's something you want the whole world to hear?" Joe asks her as she nods her head and smiles.

"It is. Everybody has been making up stories about me while I've been on hiatus and this song will shut them all up." Liz says making Joe smile.

"Good job." Joe says hugging her as Liz laughs. "Oh by the way since we're both releasing music we should do a song together. Plus it will be a good Christmas present to all our fans.

"Oh how about a Christmas song?" Liz says as Joe nods. "I saw mommy kissing Santa Clause by Liz and Joe Jonas sounds awesome." Liz adds making Joe laugh.

"How about we discuss this with mom cause I don't think she'll be so fond of that title. Which reminds me don't you have to meet her for a fitting." Joe says as Liz gasps.

"You're right. C'mon let's go." Liz says as she and Joe quickly grab their things. "By the way do you think we have time to stop at the store? I want to buy the wardrobe ladies something." Liz asks Joe as they quickly walk through the hallways.

"Typical Liz always wanting to buy stuff for every one." Joe says as Liz shrugs her shoulders. "Speaking of giving there's a homeless person waiting outside." Joe adds as Liz opens the door to go outside.

"I don't have much." Liz says looking into her bag and taking out her wallet as the homeless person with old raggedy clothes walks up to them. "Here...sorry it's not much." Liz says as the homeless woman with old clothes shakes her head.

"Thank you but there's something else I want." The woman says as Liz looks over at Joe.

"We actually need to get going." Joe says as Liz sighs and gives the woman an apologetic smile.

"I'm really sorry I have to go." Liz says as she turns away from the woman and begins to walk away.

"I just wanted to have a conversation with you. You are my daughter after all." The woman says as Liz and Joe freeze.

"What are you saying?" Liz asks as the woman walks over to Liz and smiles at her. "Adriana?" Liz adds as the woman's face lights up.

"Yes it's me." She says as Joe shakes his head and grabs Liz's arm.

"Liz we have to go." Joe says as Liz shakes her head.

"Joe I can't just leave her like that." Liz says as Joe sighs.

"I know you don't want to but it's the right thing to do. Now get in the car." Joe says as Liz takes one look back to see Adriana standing there.

"I'm really sorry." She says before running off to the car.

LIZ'S POV

"Is this who you saw?" My dad asks me as he hands me his phone where a picture of Adriana was being shown.

The Adriana I saw earlier today didn't look like the one in the picture. She looked older and her eyes looked sleepless. Years have definitely passed since this picture was taken.

"It was definitely her." Joe says from behind me as my dad shakes his head.

"How does she know where Liz works?" My mom says as she begins to pace the room. "If she ever goes back don't speak to her. She's not a safe person to be around." She adds as I stay quiet.

"I'm going to call security to patrol the place for the time being." My dad says as I shake my head.

"Is that really necessary?" I ask him as he looks at me surprised. "Adriana only wanted to talk to me. She wants to get to know me." I say to him as he sighs.

"Valerie said that she isn't good news so we should listen to her." My dad says as I sigh.

"Dad, this is my biological mother. I only want to get to know her. Now please tell me why she is bad news and why I shouldn't be around her." I say as he exchanges a look with my mom.

"The day that Valerie told us about our...biological daughter passing away, she told us that Adriana was to blame. Adriana was and probably still is addicted to drugs and because of that our daughter was neglected and it led to her death." My dad says as he starts getting teary eyed.

"Why didn't you tell me this sooner?" I ask him as he shrugs his shoulders.

"We never thought that we were going to cross paths with her." My dad responds as I sigh.

"Well now that I know all of this I understand why I'm not suppose to get near her. I'll stay away from her." I say as my dad nods and walks out of the room with mom following behind.

"Liz I'm so sorry you don't get to communicate with your mom. I know that you really wanted to get to know her." Joe says to me as I shake my head.

"It's okay if mom and dad want me to stay away from her than I'll do that." I say to him before he nods and walks away.

I stand up from the chair I was sitting on and grab my dad's phone from the table and see the pictures of my mom. Her face was not only familiar because I saw it earlier but also because I've seen this face in the mirror. She looked so much like me and now I'm going to have to get use to the fact that I'll never get to talk to her.
