Chapter 17: Runaway

LIZ'S POV

My mind won't shut up. It keeps telling me that all of this is my fault. All this misery that I'm drowning myself in is all my fault. My family is hurting because of me. If I wasn't so curious none of this would've happened.

I got out of bed because I assumed no one knew and if I stayed in bed all day people will start to talk.

"Good morning Liz." I hear John Taylor one of my brothers band mates say as I walk out of my dressing room. "Did you try the pancakes they were amazing." He says as I nod.

"They were." I say forcing a smile as he laughs but suddenly stops.

"You okay?" He asks as I nod.

"Yeah I am. Um..I have to go do some things before soundcheck so see you later." I say to him as he nods and walks away.

I should wipe this sad and depressed look off my face. Before everyone questions me and finds out. Hopefully the worst, Ashley, doesn't find out.

"Ow." Someone says as I bump into them and end up on the floor. I look up and see the one and only Ashley. Speak of the devil.

"Oh oops." She says with a smirk as I stand up and try to walk away. "Wow Joe's right you're not feeling yourself." She adds as I turn and look at her.

"What did Joe tell you?" I say as she shrugs her shoulders. "I'm not in the mood to talk to you. You know I thought I wouldn't ever have to talk to you but look at you still on the tour even though you're not a musician." I add as she nods.

"But I am Joe's beloved girlfriend and besides I ask myself why are you on this tour if you're not even Liz Jonas." She says as I look at her furious.

"Take that back." I say to her as she smirks.

"I've been finding ways to stop you from breaking Joe and I since you are team Demi and guess what I finally found what I can use." She says as my eyes begin to tear up.

"You weren't suppose to find out it was suppose to be a family secret." I say as she shakes her head.

"Well I'm family so get use to it." She says as I shake my head. "And if you do anything I will make sure the world finds out and that they drag your career to the ground." She adds as my fury grows and I slap her across the face.

The room begins to spin as I lean against the wall for support. Ashley turns to look at me and I notice my ring caused her to get a scratch on her cheek.

"Ashley I'm..." I begin to say but she looks over my shoulder at something making me turn. Joe was standing there with a disappointing look on his face.

"I can't believe you did that. I don't understand. Liz this isn't you." Joe says as I shake my head.

"Joe it's not what it looks like." I say to him as he sighs.

"I know you're going through a difficult time but that doesn't mean you get to lash out on other people. Ashley didn't do anything." Joe says as I look at her who had a smug look on her face.

"You're right she didn't do anything." I say before walking away in tears.

NORMAL POV

For Liz it felt like the world was ending. First she found out she was living a lie and then she did the unimaginable. She didn't mean to hurt Ashley. Sure Ashley was the worst but Liz didn't want to hurt her. Her fury got the best of her.

Some might argue that when you're mad you shouldn't make major decisions and Liz was about to do just that.

As she got to the hotel room she opened her laptop and checked online for the next flight headed to Los Angeles. She wanted to go home and not deal with the immense sadness that this tour had brought upon her.

Getting her stuff together she glanced over at her phone and remembered her family. The right thing to do is inform them about her decision.

She grabbed her bags and walked over to the stadium to tell her parents.

"Liz?" She hears Frankie say as she turns and sees him standing there confused. "What are you doing with your stuff?" He asks as she sighs.

"Frankie...I'm...I...I can't be here anymore. This tour has caused me so much pain. Demi leaving and no one knowing the truth, Ashley being a bully, and me being too curious and finding out something I shouldn't have known. I just want to go home." Liz says nearly in tears as Frankie hugs her.

"You're underage you can't go alone." Frankie says to her as she wipes her tears away and nods knowing he was telling the truth.

"I'm stupid. I can't runaway from my problems." Liz says as Frankie sighs.

"You're right but then again you're wrong." He says as Liz looks at him confused. "Everything is total crap here. Let's go. I'm in." He says as Liz nods and they head towards the exit but once they turn the corner they nearly bump into their mom.

"3 tickets to Los Angeles already bought." Denise says putting her phone in her pocket as Frankie and Liz look at her confused. "I heard everything you had to say and there is no way I'm letting my two babies travel alone." She says as Liz smiles slightly at her.
