Chapter 35: Burning The Memories

NORMAL POV

"Found the trays!" Kevin says entering the kitchen as he holds up the two wooden trays.

"And I found the fancy plates." Dani says following behind him.

"Thanks guys just set them down there." Liz says as she goes over to the kitchen island.

"We did everything you asked us to do, so could you please tell us what you're up to?" Kevin says as Liz shakes her head.

"Technically you haven't done everything yet. Frankie, Joe and Nick aren't back yet." Liz says as they hear the front door close.

"Haha speak of the devil." Kevin says as Liz gives him a sarcastic smile.

"So what's the big deal with pulp and no pulp? I've never realized the difference at all." Frankie says entering the kitchen with grocery bags.

"So that's why we bought both of them?" Nick says as Liz shakes her head.

"If you want the job done right I guess you have to do it yourself." Liz says taking out the two bottles orange juice.

"We bought what you wanted now could you please tell us why you asked us to do this?" Joe asks as Liz stays quiet and nicely puts the food on the trays Kevin bought.

"You guys will see soon." Liz says as everyone exchanges looks. "It's not anything bad!" She says annoyed.

"And that's usually what you hear before Liz does something bad." Frankie says as they start bickering back and forth.

"What's going on in here?" They hear their mom say as she enters the kitchen with their dad right next to her.

"Good morning." Nick says quietly as Liz sighs.

"You guys ruined my plan." Liz whispers over to her brothers as their parents look at them confused.

"Liz is planning something but she won't tell us and we're getting a little suspicious." Nick says Liz groans.

"For the last time it's not anything bad!" Liz says as her parents look at one another. "Alright I'll just reveal the big news. Here this is for you two." She says handing her parents an envelope.

"These are plane tickets." Denise says opening up the envelope to show everyone.

"Ever since the whole news broke out of my particular situation you guys haven't had any down time so I organized a little vacation for you two." Liz reveals as her parents exchange happy looks.

"Liz we can't accept this and if we do accept them you're going to stay all alone." Paul says as Liz chuckles and shakes her head.

"Are you forgetting the fact that you have 4 adults right here who can watch over me?" Liz says as Kevin, Dani, Nick and Joe exchange looks.

"Hey what about me?" Frankie says as Liz shakes her head.

"Yeah and we never agreed to taking care of you." Joe says as Liz groans.

"That's not going to help my case." Liz says as her parents laugh.

"Denise, Paul go on your trip I'll make sure everything here is as good as you left or at least try cause you never know what they might do." Dani says as the Jonas kids look at her surprised.

"We'll accept the tickets since it is only a week but just know that if anything happens while we're gone and you guys keep it from us there will be consequences." Their dad says as they all nod.

"Don't worry dad remember I'm in charge here." Kevin says as their parents exchange looks and give them a nod.

"Liz! Liz! Open the door!" Joe says as he knocks on Liz's bedroom door.

"What do you think she's doing in there?" Nick asks as the rest of Liz's brothers approach the door.

"Sleeping maybe?" Kevin says as they turn to look at him and give him a glare. "Was it something that I said?" He asks confused.

"It's 7:30 on a Friday night. You don't really think she's sleeping, do you?" Frankie asks as Kevin shakes his head.

"It's already the first night that our parents are gone and I already messed up." Kevin says as Frankie laughs.

"So much for leaving you in charge." Frankie says as Kevin slightly hits him.

"Hey geniuses did any of you think of getting the keys to her room." Dani says as she walks up to them and waving around the keys.

"That was plan B." Joe says as Dani successfully opens the door and all of the brothers run into the room.

"Congratulations you took 20 minutes to get a door open." Liz says sitting on her bed with tons of magazines surrounding her.

"What are you doing?" Nick asks as he notices that all the magazines had Liz as the top story.

"Something I should have done months ago." Liz says as they all give her a confused look.

"Are you going to burn all of these?!" Frankie asks as he sees matches near Liz's night stand.

"No I'm not." Liz says taking the matches from Frankie's hand. "At least not anymore." She adds as her brothers look at her surprised.

"So what are you going to do?" Nick asks looking through one of the magazines.

"I'm going to metaphorically burn all of these headlines." Liz says as her brothers look at her even more confused.

"You know I don't really mind what you're doing as long as you don't include us." Joe says as he begins walking out of the room.

"Actually I do need your help!" Liz says before Joe could leave the room. "I don't want to bother mom and dad with this so I'm going to need help from everyone." She adds as her brothers groans.

"Oh c'mon guys your sister needs help getting closure the least you can do is help her out." Dani says as Liz smiles at her.

"Fine we'll help you but only because Dani insisted we do it." Kevin says as his brothers laugh at him.

"Now we know who wears the pants in the relationship." Joe says as Kevin glares at him.
